There is a section of the First Amendment that I often refer to as the "Forgotten Clause." It's brother, the "Establishment Clause" is know by most, and is often quoted from rote memory. But the "Free Practice Clause" is just as important, and just as vital.

We all know that first half, "Congress shall make no law respecting an Establishment of Religion." But the second half is under assault here today. That clause states "Or prohibiting the Free Exercise Thereof."

Taken together, it is an order to the Government to keep your damn dirty hands out of the Garden of the Church and in the Wilderness of the States, and to leave that damn wall alone, to paraphrase Thomas Jefferson.

Well, in Conneticut, my beloved mother church is under attack. Raised Bill 1098 seeks to overturn the rule over the church (Which is not a democracy, thank you very much) by Bishops and Priests, and place it in the hands of laymen, who will change policies with the wind, even if it comes in direct violation of Dogma.

This is a patent violation of my First Amendment rights as a citizen of this country, and a violation of the rights of EVERY person of faith in this country. I urge all Catholics, Protestants, Mormons, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Bhuddists, Sikhs, and those who I did not mention (sorry folks, don't have the time to look up every faith, and these are the ones that came to me while writing) to get out there and vote no.

For an attack on one Church is an attack on all Churches, of any faith.

We stand together, or hang apart.

I don't usually come across as overtly Catholic (It might have something to do with what the Carpenter once said about them hating me for loving him) but I recently found a Catholic blog that I have begun following. And she turned me on to the following today, and I found it fascinating.

Everything is connected and it may sound absurd to link contraception with the economic collapse, but think about it:

History will look back and decide that artificial contraception was the most radical and earth shattering invention ever devised by mankind. When the link between the sexual act and procreation was broken it not only changed our sexual behavior, it changed everything.

Most importantly, it changed the way we think about ourselves and our actions. The links between our actions and their natural consequences were broken. We began to expect that we could have whatever pleasure we wanted when we wanted and how we wanted and that we could avoid all the consequences of those actions. In sexual behavior it seemed to be so.

We became gods. We could do anything and have anything and we could avoid the cost. Extrapolate this mentality to the economic sphere and you'll see what I mean. We told ourselves that we could have anything we wanted instantly simply by taking out another loan. If we were the lenders, we insured ourselves against loss in case those loans were not re paid.

The responsibility could always be shifted. The 'problem' could always be solved. Paying the price could always be delayed. We could just re-finance. Just as we got instant sexual gratification for free, so we thought we should have everything else instantly for free.

How different our mentalities would be if we still understood that every time a man and woman come together a baby might be made. If we lived that way we would have to grow up and be more sober about all things. We would have to take responsibility, and if we did not the consequences would meet us very soon.

Instead we have become a society of spoiled brats. Stamping our feet and demanding instant gratification and entertainment and pleasure, and believing that somebody else somewhere will pick up the tab.

Where did it come from? I realize the causes are complex, but a contributing factor is artificial contraception which changed the way we think and respond at a very profound level.

Well said. And here I was focused on a big old root right in front of me, and ignoring the seed that the root grew from. It reminds me of that bill of No Rights I saw earlier (H/T: The Jawa Report)

ARTICLE I:
You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II:
You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone — not just you! You may leave the room, change the channel, or express a different opinion, but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III:
You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful, do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.
ARTICLE V:
You do not have the right to free health care That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE VI:
You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.

ARTICLE VII:
You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII:
You don't have the right to demand that our children risk their lives in foreign wars to soothe your aching conscience. We hate oppressive governments and won't lift a finger to stop you from going to fight if you'd like. However, we do not enjoy parenting the entire world and do not want to spend so much of our time battling each and every little tyrant with a military uniform and a funny hat[pre-9/11 mindset...ed]

ARTICLE IX:
You don't have the right to a job. Sure, all of us want all of you to have one, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.

ARTICLE X:
You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to pursue happiness — which, by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an overabundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

If you agree, we strongly urge you to forward this to as many people as you can. No, you don't have to, and nothing tragic will befall you should you not forward it. We just think it is about time common sense is allowed to flourish — call it the age of reason revisited.

Surprise! I'm back, and it took a speech my a member of CNBC of all channels (No, I didn't watch the braodcast, I heard a recording of it on Rush...) to brign me back.

But thank you to Michelle Malkin, The Jawa Report, Slapstick Politics, Gateway Pundit, Wag This Dog, and numerous others for their posts that helped to inform me as to the events that occured and gave me my topic.

The protests started in Seattle, moved on to Denver, then to Mesa, Arizona, and are now coming to my Backyard. And they are spreading. In the Governor's Mansions of the states of Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alaska, South Carolina, and Idaho, the Governors are currently stating that they are unsure as to wheter they should accept funds from the Generational Theft Act. It's too bad there are provisions in the bill that removes their right to say no to the money. Sarah, Bobby, take this to the Supreme Court, you might win the 2012 election if you do so...

But before I discuss the protests, I would like to direct your attention to this story...

Proposition 8

I wasn't going to talk about this, mainly because I don't agree with either side on the issue of Gay Marriage. (I honestly don't have an opinion beyond legalization halves the sin involved) But you idiots who are out there disrupting church services and defacing churches need to understand one very important thing. You are shooting yourself in the foot.

First of all, I would like to point out that this is the SECOND time such an item has passed in California. That is right, Proposition 8 is the second such item to pass in California to Define marriage as a man and a woman. The People have spoken, whether we like their decision or not.

Instead of trying to convince people that they are wrong on this matter and that it is a matter of equal rights, they are rioting.

In Lansing, Michigan, a group of Gay Protesters, Bash Back Lansing, disrupted church services at Mount Hope Church. They threw condoms at the church goers, insulted them, scattered papers around, and shouted insults at the people. Outside, they hurled insults at those going into the church and those who left.

In San Francisco's Castro District, a group of about sixteen Christians who where holding a prayer service in public, had to be escorted out of the district by Police, after someone spread the claim that they where there to hold a counter-Protest against the No on 8 Campaign. The video on YouTube is disgusting, and the Poster was quoted as saying:

After just singing and worshiping God for a while, Roger decided that we should all hold hands in a circle and continue singing. So we did.

Someone (Actually a person who came up and hugged and kissed some of us who he knew from the past) convinced some people that we were there to protest against the no on 8 campaign.

Then some guy who was dressed up like one of the sisters (The sisters of perpetual indulgence is a group of men who dress up like nuns and call themselves the spiritual authority of the Castro.) took a curtain-type thing (Which I think they use to curse people) and wrapped it around us.

Then a crowd started gathering. We began to sing “Amazing Grace”, and basically sang that song the whole night. (At some points we also sang “Nothing but the Blood of Jesus” and “Oh the Blood of Jesus”.) At first, they just shouted at us, using crude, rude, and foul language and calling us names like “haters” and “bigots”. Since it was a long night, I can’t even begin to remember all of the things that were shouted and/or chanted at us. Then, they started throwing hot coffee, soda and alcohol on us and spitting (and maybe even peeing) on us. Then, a group of guys surrounded us with whistles, and blasted them inches away from our ears continually. Then, they started getting violent and started shoving us. At one point a man tried to steal one of our Bibles. Chrisdene noticed, so she walked up to him and said “Hey, that’s not yours, can you please give it back?”. He responded by hitting her on the head with the Bible, shoving her to the ground, and kicking her. I called the cops, and when they got there, they pulled her out of the circle and asked her if she wanted to press charges. She said “No, tell him I forgive him.”

Afterwards, she didn’t rejoin us in the circle, but she made friends with one of the people in the crowd, and really connected heart to heart. Roger got death threats. As the leader of our group, people looked him in the eyes and said “I am going to kill you.”, and they were serious. A cop heard one of them, and confronted him. (This part is kinda graphic, so you should skip the paragraph if you don’t want to be offended.) It wasn’t long before the violence turned to perversion. They were touching and grabbing me, and trying to shove things in my butt, and even trying to take off my pants - basically trying to molest me. I used one hand to hold my pants up, while I used the other arm to hold one of the girls. The guys huddled around all the girls, and protected them.

Yes, that is right, some of the "counter-counter-protesters" tried to commit rape against their opponents. They where threatened with DEATH by some protesters. Is this really the act of the "Tolerant"? And how did the targets of the "Tolerant Ones" respond? They turned the other cheek. Remember those of you who are Christians, He warned us that there would be those who hated us for our Love of Him.

Message to the guy in 1:58 who is telling the Christians to stay out. We have as much right to enter that area as you do. We have as much right to state our opinions on something as you do. The First Ammendment was designed to protect speech that the People DON'T like.

The El Coyote Mexican Cafe in Los Angeles has also been targeted. The manager donated $100 to the Yes on 8 campaign. In response, a gang of those who opposed Prop. 8 descended upon the place and drove the woman to tears. The gang would not let up until the employees of the store donated a combined $500 to the Opposition campaign. Those who dined in the resturant where verbally assaulted for daring to eat there. And the Manager's crime? She practiced her First Ammendment Rights.

In Sacramento, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, beeter known as Mormons from their second holy book, the Book of Mormon, had to hire security guards for their temple. This after hateful vandalism smeared across ten of their temples across the state. This after white powder was mailed to the Tabernacle in Salt Lake City.

Scott Eckern, a Mormon who worked as artistic director of the California Musical Theatre, was forced to step down because he dared to donate money to a political cause he agreed with.

On top of that, they have posted a Blacklist of people they are boycotting for daring to enact their first ammendment rights to Freedom of Association, Freedom of Religion, and Freedom of Speech.

I cannot believe what I’m reading today. If I could get to a camera tonight, I’d do that vidblog now, but since I can’t, I’ll save my true argument for tomorrow evening. In the meantime, the news now is that gay and lesbian citizens of California are practically rioting. In the wake of the passing of Proposition 8–the law that is to overturn the state supreme court’s ruling that gay marriage is legal–thousands have taken to the streets. But more than just protesting, they’re calling for actual violence.

I’ve gotten into a discussion about it on Michelle Malkin’s site, and have even gotten in a few hits with JoeMyGod himself for his and his readers’ outright bumbling stupidity. I might be able to understand being upset about it, but seriously–you idiots are trying to preach against hate and you’re calling for gays and lesbians to “burn their f—ing churches to the ground and tax the charred timbers”? You must be joking!

This is unreal. Un-be-friggin’-LIEVABLE. I cannot believe I’m reading comments from gay and lesbian people saying things like, “I’m a radical on a mission to make them pay for all they’ve done.” For WHAT, exactly? Have they put us in camps? Tried exterminating us? As I recall, they haven’t put up much of a fight to overturn the US Supreme Court’s decision striking down all laws against sodomy; they’ve pretty well accepted that what we do with our lives is our business. So will someone please, PLEASE explain to me why one reader is saying “I could murder someone with my bare hands today,” and another is saying, “I warn [mormons and catholics] to watch their backs!”

Where the hell do you people get off behaving like lunatics because this thing wasn’t defeated? I’ll touch on your liberal fanaticism tomorrow, but I’d really like one of you idiots to explain what makes you right and them wrong! They didn’t vote to require us to go to “sexual re-orientation therapy,” but you’re acting as though we’ve all been told we’re about to be rounded up and sent to Auschwitz!

Right here, right now I want every one of you to shut the hell up. I refuse to look like a fool because you don’t know how to behave. I have friends who are Mormon, Catholic, Jewish, Baptist, you name it–very few have ever expressed real hate towards me, and the grand total of TWO who have aren’t real Christians, anyway. I have experienced more hate coming from you than from them. You are not going to win this battle by threatening violence, and if you actually carry it out, I will personally lead the charge to put your ass in prison for the rest of your life.

GROW THE HELL UP.

It strikes me as hypocritical. For eight years, we have heard nothing but "Selected not Elected." About George Bush from this crowd. And now, they are leaning on the Supreme Court of California to overrule the will of the People.

Governmnet Run Education Part II

Let us turn to Russia for more on this tragedy that we are faced with Daily. And as we do so, I would like to use Grocery stores as my example.

Now, all of you who are reading this have been to a Grocery Store before, probably a Hen House, or an Aldi's, or a HyVee, or the Grocer's section of a Walmart.

When you go in, there are massive aisles full of food of all different sorts. The stores are clean and brightly lit, with options that will blow the minds of people who have never had the experience of Free Market Grocery Stores.

Russian Grocery Stores on the other hand, are government run. Stores are forced to specialize. Bread stores are usually half-empty, not because of demand at the government mandated local store, but rather because the government has not allocated enough bread to the stores. The Mat Stores can be just as bad. Cuts of meat are terrible, and you can never be sure what exactly the meat came from.

If there is nothing there for you, too bad, because that is the Grocery Store the government has ordered you to go to.

The US on the other hand, has some of the world's largest grocery stores, some of them stretching a seeming half mile in width or depth.

How would this be any different than the current Education system? Would not the benefits of the Free Market mean that the schools would get better used funding?

There is a joke in the armed forces about boots that really tells us why this is. When the Defense Department orders a pair of boots, they have to requisition them separately, with one boot costing two hundred, and the other one five hundred.

Government is inefficient. If Microsoft where to run our schools, or Ford or GM, they would focus heavily on performance. After all, is that not the way that businesses run? Do they not run based on performance? Would teachers who are not preforming get tenure, or would they get fired? Would they be more likely to respond to complaints if their customers where not delivered to them day in and day out, and the money going into their coffers regardless of performance?

I think the answers to that are self-evident.

Governmnet Run Education Part I

St. Ignatius Loyola was once quoted as saying, "Give me the boy until he is seven, and I will give you the man."

So the new "voluntary" Early-Childhood Education (Voluntary in that Speed Limits and Taxes are voluntary) worries me.

Education in the United States is dominated by one group, the National Education Association, a Statist, anti-Individual, Teacher's Union that is more itnerested in just passing students along then actually teaching the students.

Now, not all teachers who are part of the NEA fall into this category, in fact most teachers who are members actually want to help the students. But, the NEA has it's own priorities.

Neal Boortz, reformed Lawyer and Talk Show Host once said that the NEA is more dangerous to the Future of the United States of America than al-Qaeda. THis comment might not make much sense, until you start to really think about the two organizations.

Al-Qaeda can come in, kill a couple hundred people, and then they are inable to strike the US for a year at least afterwards. And, on top of that, whenever they do so, they wind up with the United States Armed Forces targeting them and doing their best to deliver them to the gates of Hell.

The NEA on the other hand, can ruin the children of this country, and indoctrinate them into whatever party the NEA wants them to be in.

While a WMD might destroy a city (though the chances of that happening are thankfully low), the schools can destroy entire generations. There are millions of students in Government Schools every day, being told by their teachers that Private Property ownership is a BAD thing. This despite the right to Private Property being THE most fundamental of Human Rights.

These schools are supposed to teach our students how to survive in the modern world, how to go out and get a job and make money for their families. But for the vast majority of them, all they teach the students is how to pass them on to the next level of education, regardless of whether or not they are able to do the work.

Now, I want to clear somethign up now, before I get people TOO mad at me about this. They are Government Schools, not Public Schools. They are run with government money, stafed with Governmnet Agents, oon property owned by the Government. So why do they call them Public Schools?

Have you been to the DMV lately?

Students these days don't know how the branches of government or their functions, they need calculators to do some basic math, can't read leases, have no idea how to balance a checkbook, have no understanding of Capitalism or the Free Market, couldn't tell you the difference between Profits and Profit Margins (and thus why the Government was gouging us at the pumps and not the Oil Companies), and the vast amjority of them wind up in remedial college classes that are mad mandatory to make the majority feel better (I was fine with Education until I swa subjected to that piece of go-se myself).

On comparisons between nations, the US tends to do horribly. They only ever rank Government Schools though. If they included Vatican run schools throughout the world, the Vatican would routinely rank in the top ten every time. Why? Because their are no unions in private schools, and they are interested in minting out well educated students. Students who understand capitalism, and how to use it for the good of society.

The best thing we could do for our students would be to give vouchers to ALL students in this country, and let the parents choose their schools.

But, the NEA protests loudly every time that government opens up the theory of Vouchers. More on this in my next post.

Meet the Executioner

First of all. I would like to say that Obama, the gloves are off. I was going to leave them on until my birthday. Even here, on the matter of the Fairness Doctrine, I was going to at least keep the boxing gloves on. But, then you decided to insult Nancy Reagen. I am sorry, but now, it is no holds barred.

Now, on to the Fairness Doctrine.

First, like I like to do for many of my posts, I want to tell you about the History of this matter. The man I am calling the Executioner (Not to be confused with Rahm Emanuel, who I have decided to call Steaknife due to an infamous moment in which he listed off Bill Clinton's enemies shortly after the Election and announced they where all dead while stabbing the podium with his Steaknife) was the head of the FCC until Reagen came into power.

When Reagen came into power, he announced that he was quitting because he viewed radio and the policy towards radio as a "Civil Rights Issue."

I couldn't agree with him more. But for different reasons. I believe that talk radio hosts have the Civil Liberty to discuss politics on the air as they see fit. It's called the Freedom of the Press, and it applies to Broadcast Media, whether it be Analog, Satellite, Cable. It doesn't matter. It is still the Press, and therefore is entitled to that freedom. On top of that, it is protected by the Freedom of Speech Clause.

But I digress. The Executioner is the man responsible for Conservative Talk Radio. It may sound odd that the man who seeks to kill it is the one responsible. But, it is because he stepped down in disgust that we have this medium.

And now, he views this as his chance to right a wrong.

Well, Executioner, I have news for you. The First Ammendment is designed to protect speech that people find offensive. There are obvious limits (screaming "Fire" in those powder kegs called Movie Theatres being a great example) but when it comes to political speech, dissent against the majority is protected.

What the Executioner is tryign to do is simple. He wants to Kill talk radio. And there can only be one reason. Because Talk Radio is by and large Conservative, and thus, is going to be an Opposition Force against Barack Obama, rallying Conservatives to try and block the iniatives of The One via petitions and rallyign political support for Mitch McConell and his allies in the Senate and House.

Make no mistake people, the Fairness Doctrine is a direct and flagrant violation of the First Ammendment, and needs to be defeated. The Liberals have Cable News and Newspapers. Let us Conservatives keep our Radio, the Union just might depend on it...

Money

Gold coins, bars of silver, sheets of painted linen, plastic cards with magnetic strips. Money has changed forms over the years, but one thing is always the same. Money is a way of replacing the direct barter system that dominated human commerce for centuries with a way of choosing what YOU need later on.

When we first started trading, it was conducted on a basis of reciprocity. You help pick the bugs out of my hair, and I will do the same for you. Then, as we began to develop tools and settle down to till the fruits of the land it was make me tools and I will give you food, or make me a weapon and I will give you meat.

Then, we began to adorn our bodies with the tears of the sun, and those who could work the most precious of metals where in high demand. Soon, people began to look on that shiny yellow metal as having value in and of itself.

Gold was joined with silver and copper and soon, we began to trade small metal disks of these precious metals for services, instead of direct reciprocity. Why did we change away from simple bartering systems to this more complex system?

Simple, because it allowed you to trade your service for what you needed. Paint a guy's fence? He would pay you in money, and you could spend that on food somewhere else. It was a way of allowing people to earn the purchase of those goods by workign for someone else.

Money is all about convenience. The convenience of trading your time to one person in work, and then taking the fruits of that labor to another location to obtain food and shelter and transportation.

So when you are "Redistributing Wealth" you are stealing away the fruits of their labor. It is as if you where to go to a person and order them, gun against their head, to go paint someone else's house.

Now, taxes are a necessary evil. They are our way of trading our time to someone else so that WE don't have to go out and pave those roads. They allow us to trade our time so that someone else can defend us.

However, stealing the time and efforts from one person, and giving them to someone else is just wrong.

It is one thing for a person to reach into his own wallet and give of his own will to the person in need. It is another to have a figure of authority place a gun against your head and order you to give to that person, confiscating eight dollars out of ten for that person's own need, and giving two dollars to the person in need.

The Obama Presidency

Okay people. We have decided to lick the hands of the dictator, let's see what we are in for.

1. Obama has promised to implement a massive CAP and Trade system on Coal. According to him, this would bankrupt the Coal Industry. 74,578 people are employed in Coal Mines. On top of that, the Coal Mining Industry pays $53 million in taxes. That number is going to collapse to the point where the only coal being mined will be what we need for steel. West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Wyoming, and Virgnina are going to be particularly hard hit with over 5,000 people employed in coal mining in those states. That doesn't include the tens of thousands of people who work to ship, process, and store coal, and service the coal mines and the workers therein.

On top of that, there are 72,000 people working in the Power Industry burning coal for electricity. those 72,000 people and 1,200 power plants consume 92% of the coal mined in the US and generates 1.991 trillion kilowatt-hours per year. Total power production in the US is around 4.062 trillion kWh per year. That means that Coal provides almost HALF of the power used in the US. So expect your energy costs to double, if not more, when they all have to switch over to Natural Gas and Oil for power generation.

2. The Dems in congress have also promised us that they WILL pass the Employee Free Choice Act. What a great, Orwellian name. It is like something out of 1984. What this bill will do is end all Secret Ballots (the way we elect president, for now at least) and replace them with a card system. These Sign Here, Check Here cards allow every person who handles them to see exactly how you voted on Unionisation. This means, that now unions (who sadly often have conenctions to much less savory organisations in cities) can use their "freinds" to intimidate those who would refuse to join the union. How do I know this? The same thing was rampant in Coal Mining towns and cities across the United States, until the Unions began to decline.

3. Pelosi, Chumer, Reid, Murtha and other have already promised a return of the Fairness Doctrine. And if the FCC is any indication, they will try to do so on the Internet as well. The Fiarness Doctrine on it's surface is a way to bring back "fair and open debate" on the radio. It does that by mandating that EVERY complaint against a talk show host's opinions be given equal time. No matter how crazy, how small the number of opinion holders, or the economics of the radio station. This will lead to stations throwing their hands up in disgust as they see weeks of no profit as no one listens to their stations anymore, and thus the radio industry will shut down.

On the internet, they will mandate that blogs do the same, and people will just stop writing conservative blogs anymore. And thus, all conservative dissent will be quickly silenced.

4. Obama has also said that he is not above trying the previous president for political crimes. Not crimes in the legal sense. But crimes because of Bush's political stance. That is something that happens in Russia or the Banana Republics, not in a legitamate Democracy.

5. Have fun shootign your guns, they will be outlawed soon. In the Illinois Senate, Obama worked with the Brady Campaign to try and end personal gun ownership. Now, let's understand something here. The Founding Fathers never outlawed gun bans with the constitution to protect hunters. In fact, the Second Ammendment was one of the only ammendments that was unanimous among them. Why? So that the people could defend themselves, both against the government and those who would try to harm them in some way shape or form.

So long as the electorate is armed, any wanna be dictator needs to completely disarm the people to prevent them from acting up to show their displeasure. That is why Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Kim Jong Il, and even Hugo Chavez have outlawed guns. Mahmoud Ahminejad has tried, but when your nation is so close to the Bakara Market, it is hard to do so.

6. Obama has also announced that he will give 95% of the peopla Tax Cut on their income taxes. Bull. 40% of this country does not pay a single dime in Income Taxes. So how do they get a tax cut Obama? Are you going to send them a check? And why did you vote in the US Senate to increase taxes on those making over $42,000 a year?

When the top 5% of the country has their taxes increased (they already pay 50% of the taxes), they will start to leave. Expect to see more scandals about millionares moving their money to foreign bank accounts to preserve what they have worked so hard for.

It's too bad he forgot that the US already has THE most Progressive Income Tax in the world.

7. And then, the Bush Tax Cuts will run out. This will lead to an across the board tax hike. And this, my friends, will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Expect the Top 10% of Tax Payers in this country to leave. They will pay their 50% Exit Tax as they do so, and then they won't look back.

8. Minimum Wage hikes have a dirty little secret. Built into the law are mandates that require Union Employees to get paid two to three times the minimum wage. That is the real reason that Pelosi and Reid will force minimum wage increases down American throats. This could bankrupt businesses as they are unonised by force. This will increase unemployment drastically across the board, and drive businesses over seas. And the new Corporate Tax Hikes won't even have gone into effect.

9. Obama has promised to close Corporate Tax Loopholes that "Benefit Corporations who move jobs overseas." Well, Mr. Obama, we have the HIGHEST Corporate Taxes in the United States. In fact, they are so high that Trillions of dollars worth of growth are ignored because those businesses are more interested in trying to protect themselves from Acheivement Punishing Taxes.

This will drive thousands of Corporations overseas. Ireland, Japan, England, these nations have Corporate taxes less than half what the US has. And even that anti-capitalist, anti-freedom Fear Society we call the People's Republic of China has lower Corporate Income Taxes than the United States.

And when they go, American jobs will disappear. And they will do so fast. The average Corporation employs thousands, if not tens of thousands of people, and most of them will become unemployed as their employers flee the United States.

10. The war in Iraq will be over. And Iraq will become Somalia. That is right, if we leave now, Iraq will become Somalia. And as soon as we leave, the terrorists will coem out of the woodwork, and warlords will emerge. Millions will die in the resulting chaos, and millions more will die when Syria and Iran decide to use their army to carve up that state.

Then, Osama bin Laden will release a tape calling the US a nation of Fools. He will praise Allah for the election of a Neville Chamberlain to our presidency, and for victory in what he has called the Central Battleground of the War on Terror.

And then, the bombings will begin. Probablly "before six months have passed" to quote Joe Biden.

11. The pre-september crisis is coming. Biden warned us that it would come, and that the actions of the administration would be unpopular among the Left, and extremely so among the Right.

Well, I am expecting Russia to formally invade Georgia and the Ukraine. I am expecting that Al-Qaeda wannabees and Hezbollah Sleeper agents to begin attacking targets inside the US. I am expecting an invasion of Lebanon by Syria. I am expecting that Israel will see a rash of celebratory suicide bombings. So it makes me wonder what the Fifth Scenario is that Smirky Joe mentioned...

12. Maybe it will be defeat in Afghanistan. After all, we showed the Terrorists that we cannot stomach a war. So they will go pouring into Afghanistan. And as they do so, we will see Casualties skyrocket as our people and our allies are caught unprepared.

13. Obama has promised the United States that he will create a Civilian National Security Force. And, on top of that, that they will be as well funded as the Armed Forces. My question is, what will they be doing?

14. Pelosi has promised that she is going to roll back all drilling allowances. In other words, no new drilling for oil offshore, and possibly even a loss of all drilling offshore. This will drive up the cost of oil across the United States. Obama has said that the only problems he had with $4.00 a gallon gasoline was the speed with which it went up. Well, it is going to go up even higher with more Oil being diverted to power generation, and less to you and I to get to work. Expect European style prices across the United States.

For those of you who are curious as to why I keep saying there is a civil war coming in this country, let me explain why.

The seeds of civil war are there in every country, even if the people living therin do not see them. In the 1630's, no one would have believed that the Puritans would have been able to spark a full blown Royalist-Puritan civil war. In 1860, as South Carolina led the rest of the states that would eventually become the Confederacy left the Union, no one would have believed that the Civil War we now think of as inevitable would have come until Fort Sumter itself fell. The unrest in the Balkans would have been unbelievable just a few decades ago, until a very few persons for whom ethnicity and race and religion where important dragged the entire region into civil war.

In fact, up until a civil war starts, there are three sides, those trying to start the war, those trying to stop it, and those who know nothing of what is going on under the surface. Some of those trying to start the war know fully well what they are doing, and take glee from that fact. Others act out of ignorance, and pursue policies that they think will make their country better, ignoring all those who cry out to them to wait, and think about it from the other side.

Which is where I think the United States is in this upcoming election. We are in a nation as divided, if not more so, than it was in 1859, just before brothers literally took up arms against each other to determine just how much power the Federal Government would have over the states. It was not until the US looked like it was going to lose, and Britain and France would come into the war on the Confederacy’s side, that Abraham Lincoln brought out the Emancipation Proclamation and transformed the Civil War from one about the rights of states to one about economics and slavery.

The chief cause of this second civil war will be economics. The economics of “Spreading the wealth around,” that will drive many in our top ten out of this country, and their companies with them.

Right now, the top 1% of this country ears 20% of the income, and pays 40% of the income, for the top 10% it is 40% of the income and almost 70% of the taxes. In 2010, there will be a tax increase unless the president does something about it, a Tax Increase built into the law that will affect all persons in this country, including the 40% who pay nothing in income taxes. 2010 is when the Bush Tax cuts run out.

This will lead to a tax increase across the country, a tax increase that Obama’s tax cuts won’t be able to negate. Throw in the increase in taxes to those making over $200,000 (the amount was dropped over the weekend from 250 to 200 thousand) and you will have many in our top 10%, people who have worked hard, earned money, and set up companies across this country, being taxed for around 80 to 90% of the income.

If you start putting more and more of the burden on them, then you begin to turn them into atlas, holding up this country on their shoulders alone, taxing them into poverty, and driving them out of this country. As more and more of those in the top 10% leave, and have almost 50% of what little they have left stolen from them by the government in the form of Exit Taxes, the nation will get poorer and poorer.

As the nation goes bankrupt, we will see the Fairness Doctrine come into play again. Conservative Talk Radio will be shut down. FOX News will be taken off the air. And, if the FCC is to be believed, they will start to go after the internet, shutting down major conservative, and in some cases liberal, blogs that oppose the president that Oprah Winfrey first described as “The One.”

As the Conservatives are shut down more and more, as they are drummed out of media and government, they will begin to grow resentful, and in many cases angry. They will begin to feel like there is an active conspiracy against them, one which is trying to prevent them from having any say in the government. They will blame ACORN, Obama, and the Liberal Media.
Eventually, they will reach the point where they think that the government is ready to shoot them, and that their neighbors are ready to lynch them. The nation will be at it’s prime, and something will happen.

Perhaps it will be the ATF enforcing a universal gun ban shooting a teenager who was out hunting. Perhaps it will be a conservative shot for trying to get his viewpoints out there in pirate radio. Perhaps it will be a person who was once in the top 20% trying to protect what little money he has left. Or perhaps it will be somebody actually lynched. Or it could even be a conservative, convinced his neighbors are about to lynch him, who kills his neighbors in pre-emptive self-defense.
But it shall be as sparks to the kindling, and the nation will burn. The nation shall be consumed in an inferno. And the two sides shall split, and what was once one, shall be split in twain, perhaps forever.

That is why I am voting for John McCain in November, because I understand that Barack Obama is actively advocating policies that will result in the second civil war in these here United States.

TexasDarlin has had what could quite possibly be one of the scoops of the century. She has received unverified tips, again unverified, that Senator Barack Hussein Obama II, alledgedly Barack Hussein Soetoro according to Indonesian records, is completely inelligible to run for the President of the Unites States (POTUS).

Obama's Citizenship: I Invented The Internet (Ep. 6: October Surprise)

In her September 5, 2008 blog post, "Photo Documents Barry Soetoro: Indonesian Citizen, Muslim Religion," TexasDarlin discusses the Indonesian Citizenship Laws which might affect Barack Obama's claim to the Presidency. At the time when Obama, then Soetoro, lived in Indonesia, it did not allow for dual citizenship, and only citizens could attend schools there.

Later, on September 25, 2008, Judah Benjamin brought information that claims that under Article II of the United States Constitution and the definition thereof according to those who wrote this law, natural-born citizenship is LOST if the person has dual citizenship.

He further goes on to state that his Dual Citizenship with Kenya (Due to the nature of the colonial laws of Great Britain stating that those born of citizens of Great Britain and it's Colonies have automatic UK citizenship until the age of 18, which was transferred over to Kenya when they obtained Independence) might not even be an issue, as Indonesia did not recognise Dual citizenship at that time.

This means, that according to the information available to me, under 8 USC 1481 Obama, then Soetoro, when he was adopted as a citizen of the state of Indonesia, whose citizenship laws required denouncement of claims to citizenship in other states, Barak Obama is thus NOT a citizen of the United States, and thus ineligible to the presidency.

Throw in the recent reports naming a specific hospital, one which the source linked to states was the best in Kenya at the time of Obama's birth, with a specific date and time, and the very reluctant nature of Obama's hand over of what few records he is handing over, leads me to wonder what he might be hiding.

For the sake of the Union, I hope he is a citizen. I hope that all of this is for naught and will all go away. But if it is true, as my own investigations into the evidence seems to show, then the effects this could have on the United States of America is profound, deep, and will be extremely divisive.

Hell, that Army Combat Brigade recently placed under the command of NORTHCOM might actually have to clamp down on civil unrest here in the United States, and who knows where that could lead to.

Why This Problem Is Now a Crisis

Increase costs to the individual. We've all felt the hit from increased monthly premiums, higher deductibles, higher co-pays, and so on. The increase in costs over the past few years have in effect wiped out any employment raises. Health costs will soon surpass housing as our biggest monthly expense. Between premiums, deductibles, and co-pays, an individuals can end up paying several thousands of dollars before insurance kicks in dollar one. Things will only get worse as the population ages.
Increase costs to businesses. Most employees don't realize that the insurance premiums deducted from their checks are only part of the monthly insurance cost. The businesses providing the plan often shoulder a much bigger burden. When health costs go up, less money is available for raises, new hires, and profits. In other words, stock values of our 401(k)'s are affected by shrinking profits and businesses are less able to hire new employees. Many of the smaller businesses, especially the service-oriented ones, are forced into bankruptcy.
Tens of millions of uninsured Americans. The number of uninsured Americans is already over 35 million, and it's growing at an exponential rate. More and more people, if they can afford insurance at all, are finding it's easier to go without insurance than pay the exploding costs. When a person doesn't have insurance, he's less likely to seek medical help when problems arise. Thus, prevention costs as well as the modest cost of catching certain problems in the early stages lead to the much greater costs of full-blown illnesses & diseases. The costs of these full-blown problems must be absorbed by all the insured individuals.
Longer wait times and less access to health care. Have you ever gone to a doctor's office and been seen by your physician within 5 minutes? Times vary, but it's not unusual or unexpected to wait 30-60 minutes after your appointment time before being serviced. Depending on specialty, it may take weeks or months to even get an appointment. It's rarely the fault of the medical professionals. They are simply too overworked and understaffed. Beyond the inconvenience, this contributes to lost productivity of the entire nation.
Businesses pass on costs as higher consumer prices. Health insurance is simply another component of labor costs. Just like costs of energy, equipment, and rent are factored into the cost of a product, so are labor costs. To ensure a profit at a level that makes it worthwhile to stay in business, companies must raise prices. Thus, rising health costs lead to inflation throughout the economy.
Economy is hit by redirection of consumer spending. Since consumers must spend a larger percentage of every dollar on health care, less money is available to buy cars, computers, clothes, and other items that fuel a thriving economy. Rising health care costs could easily throw us back into a recession.
Unhealthy individuals may have trouble finding employment. A sad fact of the current system is that monthly premiums are determined by the cost of your insurance pool. In the same way that you're charged higher auto insurance premiums when you have multiple accidents, a poor health record can increase the costs for everyone in the pool. For example, if you have one employee in a pool of 50 people that gets cancer or some other expensive illness, everyone in the 50 must absorb higher premiums. Although it's technically illegal to make hiring decisions based on health conditions, some businesses may find other reasons not to hire a potentially expensive individual. In fact, for small businesses on the edge of financial ruin, there may be no choice.
National & worldwide shortage of doctors, nurses, and other health professionals. Hospitals simply cannot keep up with the rising demand for health care. There's obviously a shortage of medical professionals or you wouldn't be forced to wait for appointments, and salaries wouldn't be so high. This is more than an American problem since the high salaries are pulling professionals to the U.S. from India, Britain, Canada, and other areas around the world. We have a shortage in America despite the most advanced medical training system in the world; you can imagine the shortage in 3rd world countries such as those in Africa or South America.

A 15-Point Solution

De-regulate the medical profession. It's time the government ease restrictions on who can do what in medicine. Does it make sense that someone who wants to perform heart surgery has to go through the same amount of education as someone who wants to set broken bones and prescribe infection remedies? Does it make sense that 3rd-year med students are allowed to perform medical tasks that a nurse with 30 years of experience can't? Does it make sense that a Ph.D. psychologist can't prescribe Zoloft or Prozac but a psychiatrist who can prescribe the drugs must go through 8 years of education almost completed unrelated to psychology? Medicine is probably the most complex subject in existence; still, the vast majority of medical tasks don't require someone with 12 years of tortuous training. Health care costs are so high because tasks that could often be performed by nurses, physicians assistants, paramedics, and CNA's are restricted to fully-licensed doctors. De-regulation would reduce costs in three ways: 1) Routine tasks can be billed out at the much cheaper rate of the non-doctor; 2) Doctor salaries would fall since they wouldn't have to handle the same case load and pressures; and 3) Competition would increase, which always leads to lower prices and better quality. Doctors would also have more time to devote to the tougher cases, and you'd draw more students to medicine since they'd be able to do more meaningful work without having to devote the time and money of becoming a full physician.

Why, in a nation of 280 million people do we have only 600,000 doctors? There are millions of potential students out there who have the intelligence to do the work but can't go all the way through med school because of financial, work, or family obligations. Or maybe they're part of the 95 percent of applicants that are denied entrance to medical school because of rigorous requirements and few open admission spots. Yes, we want and need an elite class of physicians, but given the dire situation, maybe we need to open certain tasks to lesser-trained individuals.

Some may worry that this opens the door to more medical mistakes. Yes, lesser-trained individuals will make more mistakes, but remember, people have a choice. If they want to save some money and take a little more risk, they'll choose a nurse. If it's a more complex problem, they'll go to a fully-licensed physician. Think about how many doctors refer their patients to specialists anyway. What difference does it make if the first cog in the machinery is a nurse? Also remember that a medical professional always has the threat of a lawsuit if he or she screws up.
Create a range of new medical training levels and specialties. Despite the vast number of medical problems, there are very few specialties. Sure, there are specialties, but they're all at the doctor level. It takes almost a superhuman to get through the rigorous training requirements we have for our physicians. Each student must spend an average of $150,000 and devote 8 years to a grueling education program. Then, he or she must complete a slave-labor 4-year residency with 80+ hour workweeks. This is just to start their medical career. Almost anyone in medicine will agree that while a solid base of knowledge is important, you don't really know what you're doing until you've accumulated years working on real cases. Think about it. If you had a certain medical problem, would you rather see someone with 12 years of general education and no expertise in your problem area, or would you rather see someone with 12 years of experience working specifically in the area you need help?

I'm suggesting that in addition to de-regulation, we develop several new specialties and education levels. Obviously, to work in medicine, you'd want to require a base set of classes in anatomy, chemistry, biology, etc. But after that, training can be ultra focused to areas of specialty. Students could be given hands-on and written certification tests at multiple levels to demonstrate their ability in their area. We could have several levels of doctors or nurses. Think about how achievement in martial arts is structured. You start out at white belt and proceed through various colors all the way to black belt. To advance to each new level, you must devote a certain amount of time and demonstrate a certain set of skills. By looking at the color of belt, we instantly can guess a person's ability and level of training. Think about the financial planning profession. A 2 or 4-year degree may get a professional his or her first job, but customers may not want to go to that person unless he or she has CPA, stock broker license, Certified Financial Planner qualification, etc. Now consider how doctors are currently ranked: there's really only one level: DOCTOR!

Again, it's all about choice. We still need the heavily-trained individuals for the complex cases. We can save money by going to a lesser-trained, lesser-experienced individual if we want. Insurance companies could offer incentives to use the cheaper alternatives. For example, go to a nurse for your physical and it doesn't count towards your deductible.

One last idea when it comes to specialties: allow the creation of businesses that specialize in performing certain types of tests; for example, CT scans, X-rays, etc. Businesses could be set up to do nothing but the type of test that's required. A specialist could streamline operations and squeeze out levels of efficiency like never before. Once again, regulation constrains true reform.
Develop a new no-patent government drug research & development facility (or contract with a private firm). Prescription drugs are undoubtedly one of the most expensive components of rising health care costs. However, the actual production of drugs is usually pretty cheap. The expense comes from the research and development. Remember, creating new drugs can take years or even decades of meticulous, expensive research & testing. And for every successful new drug, there are hundreds that turn out to be a waste of time. Drug companies must charge exorbitant prices to recoup their costs and ensure an adequate profit. Unfortunately, because patent laws create a virtual monopoly on their product for 17 years, they can charge whatever they want (subject to market price demand). I'm proposing the government start a not-for-profit drug research facility where patents laws aren't applied and all experimental learning is shared with the public. There are several advantages of such a facility.

First of all, once a drug is created and approved, anyone would immediately be allowed to make and sell it. Competition would drive the price to rock bottom levels. Second of all, time could be devoted to curing illnesses and diseases that aren't always the most profitable. For example, certain types of fevers such as malaria are almost non-existent in the U.S., but are major problems overseas. We could develop remedies that were never dreamed of, possibly prompting other countries to do the same. Lastly, we will be able to build the knowledge base for everyone, leading to the faster develop of new life and pain-saving drugs. In the current system, drug companies almost have an incentive not to share their knowledge since doing so might lead to other companies gaining a patent first. In a government-controlled facility, we could, for example, require the results of certain experiments be posted online.
Create a new statute to punish those who bring frivolous malpractice suits and extort money from doctors. Frivolous lawsuits against doctors and hospitals, especially ones with outrageous verdicts, have led to skyrocketing medical liability insurance. Many lawyers will extort money by threatening lawsuits, even though they have no chance of winning. Doctors may opt for a quick settlement anyway since the cost of a malpractice lawsuit is enormous compared to paying the lawyer to just go away. A solution to this is to get back at the lawyers responsible for attacking the doctors or hospitals that haven't done anything wrong. What I suggest is a new law that requires that not only should the plaintiff have to pay court & attorney fees to innocent defendants, but lawyers who encourage the case be forced to pay a matching amount as a fine. The lawyer would also lose "points" on his legal license, so those with a track record of bringing frivolous lawsuits would lose their license to practice law.
Develop a new court system to deal with medical malpractice lawsuits. Medical malpractice lawsuits are by far the most expensive to bring to trial. This makes sense when you consider the subject matter of the trials involves doctors who go to school for 8 grueling years, endure 4 years of 80-hr week residency, and then work several years on their specialty. Can we really expect a jury of 12 people who have little or no medical training to understand what's going on? Not only is it expensive, but too often juries who don't understand the facts must pick between a rich doctor and a feeble, dying, or disfigured patient. So even if the doctor has done nothing wrong, he or she may get the shaft. And that cost is of course passed down to us in increased health insurance premiums. I propose setting up a specialty court system similar to what we have for tax and bankruptcy disputes. Decisions would be made by trained medical professionals who can better understand the issues and render fairer verdicts.
Create liability caps on damages for pain & suffering and punitive damages in malpractice lawsuits. Doctors across America are walking off the job or giving up their practice because of the exorbitant cost of malpractice insurance. Malpractice insurance is passed on to all of us in higher insurance premiums. There should be no limit to damages for lost income or medical bills caused by malpractice since they can be objectively measured. However, pain/suffering and punitive damages are intangible amounts that need to be reined in. Juries often come back with unjust awards because they feel sympathy for the patient and figure a rich doctor or insurance company can afford the loss. Everyone makes mistakes, and doctors should be held accountable, but excessive lawsuits are changing the medical system as we know it. Doctors are practicing expensive defensive medicine to avoid getting sued as well as curbing or eliminating risky areas of practice. Remember, there are plenty of punishment options for doctors that screw up that don't involve money; for example, suspension or revocation of their license to practice. This solves both problems: getting the poor-performing doctor out of the profession while keeping our health insurance premiums from going up. A $250,000 or $500,000 cap on damages would be a reasonable start in addressing all these problems.
Build a series of lawsuit-prohibited medical facilities. If you could save thousands of dollars by going to a doctor with the same expertise as other clinics but for which there was no chance to sue if a mistake was made, would you go? Some people would say yes; some would say no. There's always the chance you'd get lesser quality because the threat of lawsuit isn't there to keep up the pressure; however, you may get better care since doctors can concentrate on curing the patient rather than covering their butts. I suggest clinics be set up where patients must sign a release preventing any legal action if they want to be treated. Doctors would be able to charge a small fraction of what they currently do since they wouldn't need to pay hundreds of thousands in malpractice insurance. You'd also be able to save money arising from unnecessary tests that are often carried out to minimize legal liability.

Remember, people are required to sign do-not-sue releases to go bungee jumping, sky dive, take a karate class, and do a number of other activities. Does this stop people from going? People will come to such a medical facility often because they have nowhere else to go or because they're not worried about malpractice when getting an antibiotic prescription. Is such a facility an unrealistic idea? Not by a long shot. Patch Adams, the doctor on whom a movie was based, founded a free clinic called the Gesundheit Institute and ran the clinic without malpractice insurance. He has since expanded and introduced all kinds of revolutionary medical ideas. Thousands of doctors have volunteered their time to his program. It's not realistic to operate all free clinics, but the costs of a clinic that doesn't need malpractice insurance is dramatically cheaper.
Streamline or eliminate the FDA, and de-regulate the process of approving drugs. While the FDA's purpose of protecting the public is noble, the organization has become increasing less useful and is causing more problems than it solves. It was originally set up to protect the public from charlatans selling snake oil and other potions, but in today's complex pharmaceutical market, the organization isn't as necessary.

Consider the problems caused by the FDA: 1) The FDA costs the taxpayers an enormous amount of money to function; we should always be looking for ways to cut government waste so the funds can be redirected to other areas. 2) The FDA delays the release of drugs, causing pain and death in patients. Like all government offices, bureaucracy slows operations to a crawl. It can take months or years to get a new drug through the screening process, even though the seller has already screened the drug thoroughly. For patients who are suffering and those who will die without a new drug, this delay is unacceptable. The FDA will bring criminal procedures against the seller even when the patient is willing to assume all risks. 3) The FDA drives up the cost of prescription drugs. The impractical requirements placed on drug makers along with the added layer of screening forces companies to charge more for their products.

Some may ask "What about the consumer? Won't this increase the chances of unsafe drugs being put on the market?" The answer is a possible yes, but only marginally so. Remember, drug companies are worried about their reputation and don't want to be sued. One class-action lawsuit or the bad press of one unsafe drug could put them out of business. Thus, they take great pains to make sure their drugs are safe. And drug companies are run by human beings who obviously don't want their products to cause harm. The FDA just adds a repetitive layer that isn't necessary. Patients and the doctors from whom they get a prescription are going to factor safety into their decision to use a drug. Thus, even without the FDA, it's likely a private screening company will develop to certify the drugs. Private policing of the industry is faster, cheaper, and more flexible. It's time to cut some of the FDA fat from the budget.
Streamline the process of purchasing drugs for consumers. I went to the drug store last week to pick up some asthma meds. Despite the fact that I called a day ahead, I had to wait 45 minutes for my prescription. Why? Because I had to have a pharmacist explain to me how to use an inhaler I've been using daily for over 15 years. Have you ever gone to pick up a prescription and not been subjected to a wait in line? The cost of pharmacy employees is part of the drug distribution cost. Wait times are ridiculous because overprotective, condescending politicians have passed laws forcing pharmacists to read you a label that says "Take this twice per day with meals." After all, it's possible you can't read or didn't hear when your doctor told you the same thing the day before. The average hourly cost of a pharmacist is over $60. Multiply the hours you'd save by the number of pharmacists in the country.
Pass a law requiring publication of price lists of all medical services. Did you ever stop to think that medicine is the only business that doesn't publicize it's prices? Can you imagine dropping your car off for repairs and having the mechanic pick any price he deems appropriate? Publication of prices leads to more-informed consumers. Consumers would be able to shop around for better prices and question unreasonable fees.
Set up a new scholarship/grant program for those that want to enter the health profession. The average medical student graduates with over $100,000 in debt. Then he or she must work a 4-year residency at close to minimum wage. Is it any wonder that few doctors want to volunteer time or work in low-cost clinics? Is it any wonder they try to squeeze in as many revenue-generating patients per day? They have to just to pay school loans, malpractice insurance, and other overhead! The nursing shortage gets worse every year, which leads to longer hours for the current staff and more potential for costly mistakes. We should be doing everything we can to get more students into the medical profession. The economic laws of supply show prices will drop proportionately, so the scholarships should pay for themselves.
Increase awareness of WebMD, Ask-a-Nurse, and other free medical advice. There is an endless wealth of free information on the Web and on phone hotlines that people simply don't know about. Most minor problems could be solved by the patient if he or she took the time to look up the ailment. Part of the problem is that people don't know you can get diagnoses, symptoms, causes, related illnesses, etc. without paying a dime. Most of these medical data banks will have a section "When you should visit a professional", so the basic problems can be solved with minimal risk.
Develop a national health information system that centralizes all medical information.Did you realize that 60-70 percent of your medical dollar goes towards administration and insurance costs? How many times in your life have you filled out a full medical history? How many times have you had to re-explain your medical background to a new doctor? Every medical office has its own set of medical records that must be organized, filed, data-entered, and maintained. Every medical office must duplicate insurance information, organize claim procedures, and manage their own computer system. This redundancy causes two major problems: 1) It creates a greater chance for error, by both the patient and the hospital staff; 2) It doubles the administration costs which are passed on to all of us as higher premiums. Think about how much money we could save in the future if we integrated all this health information into one national database. Consider how much better doctors could do their job if they could pull up a full medical history of the patient's treatment, including treatment at other hospitals.
Ease right-to-die rules. By far the biggest advantages to physician-assisted suicide are the preservation of dignity, minimization of suffering, and the easing of anguish on family members. These cannot be underestimated. It's almost callous to think it, but there's another advantage that most people don't consider, which is the savings of health care costs and freeing up of hospital staff resources. Money and hospital staff time mean nothing compared to human life, but for a person who wants to die and faces a certain painful death, wouldn't it make more sense to re-direct money and hospital resources to patients that can be saved and want to live? For example, does it make sense to spend tens of thousands of dollars keeping a suffering bone cancer patient alive to the last excruciating breath while occupying the time of a doctor, nurse, and CNA--all when the patient wants to die gracefully? Savable patients suffer and die every day because of hospital understaffing. We need to be smart and practical if we are to achieve maximum benefit for society.
Design new insurance plans that shift more costs from premiums to out-of-pocket costs. Perhaps the biggest reason why health care costs are out of control is that the economic laws of supply and demand have been removed from the industry. I've already talked about how stifling government regulation has limited the supply of medical resources; now, let's consider demand. The U.S. has the most diverse and advanced access to medical care of any country in the world. Consequently, we've become a bit spoiled. We've developed an entitlement mentality in this country. We feel we are entitled to the best medical care regardless of expense, and we think we should have to pay little or nothing for it. Unfortunately, the best technology, the best trained professionals, and the best prescription drugs cost money. If we were forced to pay out-of-pocket for all our medical care, we would be a little more frugal. We would discipline ourselves and modify our habits--Do I really need this CT scan? Should I run to the doctor every time my child sniffles? Do I need a doctor with 20 years experience to perform some routine surgery or would a new graduate be able to do it just as well? Do I need the latest and greatest surgical equipment or would the cheaper conventional equipment do the job? Should I go to the doctor for some antibiotics to cure this problem immediately or should I let my body fight it off?

Imagine if we had the same entitlement mentality with housing. After all, housing is a basic need that all Americans must have for survival. Imagine you had a $5000 annual deductible, but after that all your housing costs were paid for by insurance. Would you choose a small basic apartment that costs $5200 per year or would you go for a $15,000 penthouse with swimming pool, hot tub, and fire place? Would you like a small townhouse by the airport or a 100,000 square foot beach house?

The whole purpose of insurance is to spread the risk and costs of unusual and unexpected events. It was never designed to pay expenses from your daily lives. Health insurance premiums should be reduced to the same rate range as life insurance premiums and cover only the major medical problems costing, say $10,000 or more. Currently between business and individual contributions, $3500 is paid out on average per person every year before insurance starts to help out. Then you have to deal with co-pays and other costs. An out-of-pocket focused plan would mean that $3500 normally spent on premiums would be available to the consumer. For years where patients have no medical problems, the money could be pocketed. Obviously, people will be much more frugal shoppers. They will go only when they really need to and will demand better value for their money. Thus, economic laws of supply and demand would go back into health care, lowering prices to the point that $3500 per year will easily take care of almost all individuals. Remember that 60-70 percent of each health care dollar is spent on administration costs. An out-of-pocket focused plan would mean hospitals could eliminate the tedious insurance claim process for most of their charges.

There are secondary benefits to such a shift in cost. If people are forced to pay more out-of-pocket for all health care, they're more likely to exercise, eat right, and practice preventive medicine, all of which are vastly cheaper in the long run. It's all about personal responsibility. We'd shift the focus of our society away from the pill-popping solution to every medical problem, which is counter-productive and causes a host of new problems. For example, overuse of antibiotics has led to the breeding of new superbugs. In other words, infections that used to be easily cured with antibiotics have grown resistant and now cannot be fought at all. The human body was built for one thing--survival. It can fight off most health problems if we simply let it.

Conclusion

Admittedly, some of these suggestions may be near-impossible to implement. And there are plenty of disadvantages to following this plan. But the fact is, any controversial issue is going to have advantages and disadvantages. There is no easy solution. Otherwise, the issue wouldn't be controversial. However, the downsides of any action can paralyze us to the point where we do nothing. We have to analyze all the choices and come up with the solution that has the greatest weight of pros over cons. You might have noticed, but the old system also has a few flaws.

This the third post on this subject. Dang am I on a roll tonight.

Sorry about the deviation, this was going to be about Europe, but the links have timed out, and I am in search of new ones. Instead, I will be covering Canada!

First of all, take a look at the graph to the Left. It comes from The Fraser Institute via the Mackinac Center For Public Policy in the great state of Michigan. The numbers here are signifigant, as the numbers are almost double for all systems in the United States as compared to Canada.

Second, PET (Positron emission tomography) scans are no longer covered by the Canadian Healthcare System. Instead, they use the less accurate CT scan. This according to the STATE RUN CBC News, or the Canadian Broadcasting Company. In fact, the lack of PET scans has led to numerous unnecessary surgeries for the purpose of removing a tumor.

Third, according to the Christian Science Monitor, Canadians are leaving the system and going to private clinics, despite the fact that even setting one up is illegal, let alone visiting one.

Well, Crazy Artist has a point on this one, and therefore I am going to go through and Cite stats and go more indepth into the problems. Note, this is not going to be a fair and balanced look. Nothing on this is fair and balanced. My Blog is a window on my BRAIN!

First, going to a government run facility is a nightmare. Two Months ago, I escorted my sister to a State Run Free Clinic. We sat there for a full hour waiting for a simple vaccination. A month later, I went to my doctor's office, and I got a Hep B shot in five minuets, with most of the wait being because they where short staffed and full up. Why is this? For the same reason that I got a better education at Bishop Miege High School. Because at my doctor's office, they know that they need to earn my continued business, unlike the state run free clinics.

Now, don't get me wrong, Free Health Care for the un-insured is good. But there is too much Red Tape in any thing run by the government, and that ultimately leads to people getting the short end of the stick.

Second, this is going to mean a rise in taxes. This affects everyone, despite the rhetoric of Tax Cuts for The Rich. The lie is given to this by checking Poverty Rates vs Income Tax Rates. The lower the Income Tax, the lower the Poverty Rate. Why? Because Income Tax Hikes hit the impoverished harder than anyone.

Third, the Free Market always fixes itself in some way or form. Always has, always will. This is something that we need to understand, and something we need to work with and support. The best way to do this? Loser Pays Court Cases.

Fourth, according to the Guardian Unlimited, one in eight people have to wait a full YEAR to gain access to Health minister Andy Burnham. The story goes on to say that 30% had to wait 30 WEEKS, or about 7 months, for a surgery, 48% had to wait 18 weeks, and 12.4% had to wait a full year. 48% had to wait 18 weeks. In the US, the wait, with extreme exceptions, is around two or three weeks at most.

Fifth, according to Healthcare News, smokers and the obese are BANNED from hospitals. BANNED! The story comes straight from the health Secretary Patricia Hewitt.

Sixth, according to The Scotsman, cancer patients in the UK are not receiving some life prolonging cancer medicines because it is "Too Expensive" for the government to afford.

"The Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) yesterday refused to recommend Sutent for use on the NHS, meaning patients who fail on current treatment will have no other drug options."

Seventh, according to the Telegraph UK, 5,000, FIVE THOUSAND, elderly children die each year because they do not have the beds necessary to treat them. FIVE THOUSAND!

Answering the Star

My local paper has written a series of ten gotcha questions they would like to see asked of Sarah Palin in the interview tonight. Well, while I may not be the one being interviewed, but if I was her, this is how I would answer.

1. Yes, I did campaign in favor of the "Bridge to Nowhere" until I found out how much it was going to cost Alaska to fund it. If it had just been federal money, we might have don it, but it was going to cost too much to be justified. So, I nixed it when I found out more details, and kept the money for other projects that needed to be done across Alaska.
F: And let the government waste it again? I had roads I needed built, sewer systems that needed construction or replacement. Things that Federal Funds assist states with, which we needed to get done.

2. Largest per capita, wow. Well, yes, it was a lot of money, but it was money we needed for necessary projects. Public Transit, Sewage, etc. It was not wasted money spent on Earmarks, but rather Federal assistance to help keep taxes in Alaska down. They may have been added on as Earmarks, but they where standard requests for Federal assistance.
F: For health care, we need to reduce frivolous law suits that drive up costs for doctors, which they transfer over to you and me. We need to also stop raiding social security whenever we have paid out the minimum, and let people invest it themselves. Whether it is in their bank, in the stock market, gold, silver, whatever, the people can do a better job than the government. And if they don't want to invest themselves, we will have safe investments, like Oil, Manufacturing, etc. that they can have the government invest for them in. It will be safer, it will mean less money being taken from the tax payers, and it will mean that your return on your investment is up to you. Even better, it means that the Government can not waste that money. As for Defense, I think we should increase it if possible. I disagree with Obama about cuttign costs and not researching new technologies to defend our troops better and make wars shorter.

3. I am not stonewalling the Legislature. There was nothing improper on our side. That man tasered my nephew, threatened to kill my father, drove drunk in his car with an open bottle of beer and a gun. He is unfit for office, and when he was in service, his car patrol route took him along the street where those he threatened lived. That is why I wanted him fired, and when the Public Safety Comissioner refused to do so, I fired him as well and found someone who was willing to do his job.

4. It's not as overwhelming as you may think. There are mountains of evidence that show that the warmign is located almsot entirely int he big cities. The oceans, the atmosphere, the south pole, none of it is warmign signifigantly. In fact, Antactica is colder than durign the last interglacial. Look at the Solar System, Pluto, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Europa, all of them have shown signs of warming, until the recent sunspot minimum. Now, they, and the Earth are beginning to cool.
F: Nothing, because I have seen both sides of the debate, and quite frankly, I don't buy your side's line. None of it ever takes into account the wamrign going on outside of our own planet.

5. Let's cool that Environmentally Sensitive rhetoric. We are talkign abotu an area the size of LAX. If you where to shrink the entirety of ANWR to the size of a Football Field, then the area we want to drill in is the size of a postage stamp. Add in the evidence we have showing that the Trans-Alaska Pipeline has become the Caribou Singles Bar, and it shows that maybe, just maybe, activities there will help the evironment.
F: Of course I weant to overturn it. Polar Bears are up since we first started observing them. Their population has tripled in fact. There is no danger to them from humans, this was simply a way that organizations like Greepeace and ELF can stop development and put humans last.

6. Yes, I do. Most of those captured where done so in direct violation of the Geneva Convention. They could have been shot dead where they stood and legally, nothign would have been wrong. Instead, we captured them, took them over to Guantanamo, and placed them in camps where for many, the conditions where better than they had at home. Three square meals that is in direct compliance with their holy laws, their own Korans, which many of them proceeded to destroy and frame on guards. They don't deserve thsoe protections, and yet we treat them like they are eligible for Geneva Convention protections anyways.
F: Of course I am, that is always going to happen. But with the old system, it was possible for people to prove their innocence. Now, those we would detain are merely shot on sight. Now, innocent people are in even greater danger, because the troops don't want to have to fight people twelve times over.

7. Not comitting enough troops from the beginning, and not training them for an insurgency such as this. We could have won that war by now, but we where arrogant going in, and now, we have a war that is dragging out longer and longer than it should have.
F: I agree with John McCain. We need to win, and then once we have won, draw down our presence to a minimum and create a German, Japanese, or Korean stly presence with a small contingent there to assist the Iraqi army with security when they need it.

8. No, I would try to overturn Roe v.. Wade, but that is because I believe that it is a States Rights issue. I think that each state should be able to set it's own policy on that, and that the Federal Government has no right to decide issues of Abortion.
F: Teach about the consequence of premature sexual affairs in terms of Psychology, Scoiology, Physiology. These are things people don't ever talk about. We need to encourage them to wait until they are married or at least until they are through with schooling. One way we can do that is to encourage use of Natural Family Planning as opposed to Planned Parenthood.

9. Yes, many of John McCain's advisors are former Bush Advisors, but he chose them because he trusted them. When John voted with Bush on 95% I believe the charge is, he did so because he agreed with Bush on those issues, not out of party loyalty.
F: I would ask my people from Alaska to come south and help me out there, the same way they did in Anchorage and Wasilla.

10. My children are off limits. If you want to talk about a member of the family, then talk about one who has put themselves out there on the campaign trail.
F: No, I didn't, because I didn't think anyone would be that hateful as too attack my family and put private matters all over the country.

In the Heretic Nation, John Edwards is on the "Most Wanted" List by the HBI.

This is because of his activities in recent years. Since the beginning of his law career, John Edwards has been what is colloquially known as an "Ambulance Chaser," or a man who specialized in Medical Malpractice Lawsuits.

Now, let it be known, that lawsuits against doctors cost massive amounts of money to the Medical Insurance Company. And, no matter who wins, the Insurance Company is responsible for paying for the costs of the Client's Legal Fees. Therefore, every time there is a medical lawsuit, the insurance companies have to shell out large amounts of money, forcing them to increase their premiums, which forces doctors to charge more for coverage, and thus to short change more people out of healthcare.

Also, on another prong of the assault, Illegal Immigrants, for fear of being discovered, and wait until they are in absolute desperation, go to the ER, and cost massive amounts of money from the citizens, raising their taxes.

So, that is the situation we find ourselves in when we come to the crockumentary travesty, SiCKO.

In the movie, Michael Moore paints this picture of a paradise in which the nations of Europe and the Americas have this great, free health care system, which has no flaws whatsoever.

Well, I have to call Shame on this, and while I agree that there needs to be some changes in the way that our Health care system is run, there are better ways to do so.

Now, first of all, lets look at the problems of Nationalized Healthcare.

First: People who are under this system have to wait several months to get into a doctor's office, leading to many people dieing from diseases they could have survived if they could have gotten it diagnosed

Second: You MUST go to a Government Approved doctor and gain a recommendation to a specialist, then wait a few more months to go see said specialist

Third: X-Ray Machines/MRI Machines take about five months to be able to get into the machines, whereas people can get into an MRI by the end of the day, and an X-Ray within an hour

Fourth: Those who set up private clinics in Europe or Canada get tossed into jail

Fifth: Nations with Socialized Healthcare are one of the largest sources of "Medical Tourism" to the United States, due to the ease of access into the use of our medical facilities

I have an alternate plan, or rather Neal Boortz has an alternate plan. This is a system of lawsuits known as Loser Pays, in which the loser in any case will have to pay the costs of any and all persons within the case.

This will do many things.

First: It will reduce the amount of cases that the courts have to here

Second: It will bring down the costs of health care, as even cases that never make it to court still increase the amount that a doctor has to pay for his Malpractice Insurance

This is a much better system, and one we should follow.

The Left as we speak are suing radio stations who broadcast views they oppose. The latest is KRLA, a Salem Broadcastign affiliat in California. He is being sued by the Birke Brothers, who claim that he is using Public Airwaves to push the Republican agenda. Unlike those fair and balanced anchors over at MSNBC or the AP huh?

And, to make it worse, the Obama Legal Team give it Five Stars and call it Shiny.

Of course, those thugs are the same people who tried to keep Stephen Kurtz of The National Review Online from speaking on WGN Chicago about the Obama - Ayers connection. They crashed the phone lines, filling the air with the sound of Left Wing talking points issued by the Obama Campaign, unable to back them up with thought or response to challenge. The good folks over at WGN have posted a full 2-Hour Pod Cast, which can be downloaded Here.

They also went after GOP donors for funding The American Issues Project. Bob Bauer, General Counsel of the Obama Campaign sent letters tot he U.S. Justice Department DEMANDING that they look into criminal charges against the group and their donors. These are the same people who helped Barack Obama hide his connection to ACORN, a group that registers Cemetaries, Cartoion Characters, Marvel Superheroes, and any one else they can find, to vote Democrat.

They went after the Donors after they couldn't force TV Stations to stop airing the commercials.

This is the beginning of a long list of attacks on any and all who oppose them. Just look at Biden's claims that the Obama Campaign WILL look into charges against George Bush should they take the White House. I haven't been a big fan of Bush for a while now, for my own reasons, but the Iraq War was not one of them. I would never call on a President to be charged for crimes, real or imagined, that he might have committed while in the White House so long as they where the normal business of government.

It's one thign to lie under oath, it's another to do somethign the opposition party opposes. But Barack Obama and his fellow Chicagoland Thugs don't care. All they want to do is spill opposition blood and prevent any from raising a finger in dispute should they trample all over the US Constitution.

The Lie: Sarah Palin wants to force Creationism into the Classroom

Why it's Wrong: Sarah does not want to force schools to teach Creationism, she doesn't want teachers to shut down all debate on the issue if someone asks about it. By shutting down debate, you encourage people to go and look to the other side, and because they have not been taught about the problems with the theory, they cannot argue against it, and think it MUST be right because they cannot argue against it. While she might honestly believe in Creationism, she is right to encourage the debate. It is the lack of debate over the "Issue" that has lead people to believe that the Earth is only 6,000 years old and that God created it in Seven Days, and thus we need to debate it openly and honestly.

Why it's Wrong: The head of the AIP based this off some bad Paperwork, and has since said that it is totally inaccurate. The Lie: Palin and her Reverend think the Iraq War is God's Will

Why it's Wrong: If you look at the literal wording of what was said, they where praying for the safety of our soldiers, and prayign that this war does not go against God's Will. To quote Sarah Palin in a quote from the Huffington Post

"Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending (U.S. soldiers) out on a task that is from God," she exhorted the congregants. "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."

Hmm, asking to do God's Will, and to make sure that our actions are God's Will. How is that controversial?

Well, that was fun. I went to the John Knox village today to hear Sarah Palin, and her running Mate John McCain (wait, did I get that backward..?) It was a long road to get there, First, I had to deal with a car wreck on I-435 that had reduced five lanes to one, backing up TWO highways. All the while, the rain was coming down, badly.

Then, I forgot about the lack of progress on US-69 and the Flying Ramp onto I-435. Annoying really. Finally, after getting on 435, braving the Bermuda Triangle of KC, and crossing into Lee's Summit, I finally arrived in Lee's Summit for the Rally, only to find that the line was stretched around four blocks and two corners.

Tryign to find a parking spot, I saw sixteen Palin look-a-likes. Wow, talk about a Fashion Icon. Finally, I find a parking lot that wasn't charging ten dollar donations for parking, and pulled in. I hoofed it up to the line, where I watched it stretch around another two corners. Chances of Getting In: Low.

Waited in line with a group of women, bashing Obama, chatting politics, trying to figure out what the people behind us are gonna o abotu not being able to get in.

Then the Cops come by, looking things over, making sure no one is getting too rowdy. They told us about an overflow area, and we took off, dragging a couple dozen people with us. People where handing out anti-McCain propaganda, should have brought somethign to burn it, but nope, didn't think of it.

Arrived in Overflow area, Rock This Town playing, int he second row. The Overflow area got crowded quickly as line deserters joined us. So crowded, seven people have climbed a tree. Wow, that is crowded. Press isn't too bad, people still observing space. Not sure how long that will last when signs get passed out.

And here come the signs, and here comes the press. And here coems the rain, drizzling on us, but oh well, better to stay here and hear the speech than to leave to soon and not get to hear it, doubt Rush is gonna JIP the speech today, jsut a campaign rally.

The Secret Service have come out in numbers. Wow, three of them movign through the crowds, checking bags, wanding, making sure no one's got a gun.

There they are, McCain and Sarah. People are screaming for Sarah, and she is just looking a litle flabbergasted, and she thought she was popular in Alaska...

Pressing flesh with us, John McCain is coming our way, Sarah and her husband are going the other way. WooHoo!!! I shook hands with John McCain!

He's coming back, tiem to shout out, "United States Naval Academy." May not go there, but I still support them, one of the hrdest schools int eh country and all. He talked to me!!! Guess he thoguht I had attended the school or something, and he thanked me for my service. Sorry John, I am going Coast Guard, not Navy. Still awesome.

Sarah is taking the stage inside, crowd is copying us, too busy chanting her name to let her speak. We got ourselves a REAL rockstar on out ticket.

She's talkign about the War in Iraq, Iraq War Vets are cheerign her on, mentions her son and how she wants a good commander in chief for that, very well done Sarah, keep playing that card, it's one of your best, they can't say you don't have a personal stake in it.

Good line, too bad I didn't get it jotted down completely: Choose between those who pursue change for the sake of their careers and those who seek careers to brign about change. Well said Sarahcudda.

Talking abotu Tax Cuts now: "Our reforms worked and we took off." Talking about the Tax Cuts and their effect on the economy. Glad we got someone who knows first hand the effects of lowered taxes ont eh people and the economy. Gonna make it hard for Biden and Obama to hit McCain on that.

Oh wow, she put the Alaska State "Checkbook" online. I hope she does the same thing for the Federal Budget, more transparency is always a good thing.

Heh, hitting Obama for getting $1 Billion in Earmarks in 3 Years. $333 million a year or $912 thousand a day. Wow, that's a lot of wasted money. I am glad that Palin has cut $0.5 Billion in Earmarks in her own state.

Talking about their $40 Billion Natural Gas pipeline through Alaska and Canada to the Lower 48. Talking about Nuclear Energy, Alternative Fuels, Drill here drill now. Sounds like Pickens plan to me. Must be because he is across town today, and will probably hear about it. If Pickens backs her, could be a HUGE political coup.

Says that American energy, with American workers and American energy will bring security and an improved economy.

McCain's turn, got a bigger cheer inside than outside, must be because Sarah told us to cheer for him. (Sorry McCain, but it is the way it is...) Telling Washington and us that "Change is coming." Guess the Obama people can keep hoping for Change, while we actually do somethign about it.

Claims he is going to drain the swamp (Heh, funny considering that's what D.C. actually was before we built the capitol there) and take on Special Interests. Claims that Earmarks breed corruption. He's right there, rtoo bad he won't have Line Item Veto like Sarah did back home in Alaska...

More of the Pickens plan coming through. Talking about how we need to stop buying oil from overseas, and stop sending $700 Billion to nations that are not friendly (If not hostile in Iran's case) toward the United States. No argument there.

Talking about using Tax Cuts and Incentives to help grow business and create jobs. Smart man, that McCain. Crowd goes wild at that one, we like having out taxes cut.

McCain asks if he can give us some straight talk. Crowd goes into chant about straight talk, McCain asks if we rehearsed that. Gets some good laughs from that.

Straight talk is about Lowering Taxes, Growing Business, Shrinking Government, etc. Gets a huge cheer from the people. Again, we like it when the Government lets us have more of our money.

Opposses Public Healthcare, wants to help Insurance Companies create responsible, low cost insurance costs. That gets huge roar, thoguht I heard a joke abotu going to the DMV for Healthcare out here, got a bigger one.

Obama supporters across the street from us. 15 or so. They are chanting and carrying on, the McCain supporters leaving are heckling them. I let loose with a few "Our Momma beats Your Obama." Gets laughs from our side and some death glares from the other side. Next time I am gonna find a copy of Glenn Beck's "Obama National Anthem" to play as loud as I can against our opponents. Might find some other ones as well, that will be fun to play to drown out our opponents.

Obama and the Economy

Obama has no idea how this economy actually works.

He wants to tax the Oil Comapnies. It is called a Windfall Profits Tax. The last time we saw one was in the 80's. During that time, the amount of energy produced by the United States Decreased. It decreased sharply. And as it did, the price of Oil increased significantly. The Republicans in Congress where right to vote against it.

At the same time, The Dems voted against, with Obama's blessing, allowing increased drilling, which would lead to increased domestic oil, and lower prices both here, and in Europe. However, though the United States has the best and cleanest oil drilling techniques in the world, as opposed to OPEC, who spill half of their oil on the ground, we would have almost no seepage. In fact, if you think back to Katrina. Stories of Oil Rigs washed up on beaches abounded, and yet there was not a single story about oil slicks.

Its that same old story from the dems. Tax us into oblivion while preventing the only thing that will actually fix the problem.

Obama and Civil Rights

Recently Obama has started a website called Fight the Smears.com. Well, bring it on.

Also recently, Obama announced that he would ask his AG to look into the possibility of levelling charges of War Crimes against the current President of the United States, George W. Bush. Now, I know those of you with Bush Derangement Syndrome will cheer this, but ordinary people should be afraid. This is the actions of a Stalinist. In the Soviet Union, Stalin killed or jailed people that disagreed with him politically. That included a former Head of State of the Soviet Union. This has happened time and again through out the Fear World. It is something that has never happened in the Free World for a very important reason. Democracies require a Peaceful Transition of Power. If Presidents have to worry about being arrested by the opposing party upon stepping down from the office, then you will have either

A. Presidents that are inneffective and a weaker nation as a whole.
B. Presidents who jail their opponents at the Grassroots and Candidatorial level to insure that only their supporters can get elected

This is one of the most dangerous ideas Barack Obama has ever put forth. Of course, his connections to Bill Ayers, the former head of the Weather Underground Terrorist Network, makes this unsurprising.

At the same time, Obama wants to combat what he sees as Racism in the Employment Process. Let me tell you who the vitcims of Bigotry in the Employment Process is, White Men. Every other person in this country gets a pass. They are told, "You are not good enough to get this job on your own laurels, so we are gonna guarantee that position for you." Which, in turn, results in more crimes by Minorities. More on that later.

Obama also wants to Increase Hate Crime Statutes. Well, considering the actions of Sheldon Hackney against Eden Jacobowitz, I would argue that we need to completely scrap the current Hate Crime Statutes and re-write them. Eden Jacobowitz was a young man at the University of Pennsylvania. While he was studying in his room, a group of about twenty sorority girls began to party, loudly under his window. Sticking out his head, he shouted out, "Shut up you Waterbuffalo!" Now, in Hebrew, the language Eden spoke in Elementary and Middle School, Waterbuffalo, Behema, is slang for a rowdy, thoughtless person. However, the Sorority Girls, all of whom where black, decided that they where offended and that he had used a racist slur.
Even after an Israeli Scholar on African lore testified that it was a simple matter of a person thinking in Hebrew and speaking in English, and that there was no racist conotations, the hate crime trial continued. And then there is the countless parade of hoaxes that people pull, scrathing racial epithets into their own car or spraying on their own house to try and get innocent men and women in trouble. Makes me wonder why the Duke Lacrosse Players didn't charge that young dancer with a hate crime...

One good thing is that he is trying to end Voter Fraud. Or at least he says he is. He voted against the Voter ID act, which many claim would be the best way to protect against voter fraud.

Obama has listed a punishment difference between the Sentencing of Crack and Powder cocaine users as a civil rights issue. Too bad it is a Law and Order Issue. You see, the reason that Crack Cocaine users get longer jail times is because more often than not, they are also more heavily addicted, and do not have the funds to get their funds. So, they rob people, committ violent crimes, and shoot people up, all so they can get their next fix. On the other hand, powder cocaine users are more often than not casual users, who use a much more diluted version, and have the money to buy the stuff without committing violent crimes to get it. Obama, look into that, maybe you will change your position on that. Wait, who am I kidding, of course you won't.

Southern Cross: Racist? Rebelious? Statist?

Recently, three students where banned from their school graduation for having a Confederate Battle Flag at their school three days before graduation. This was not the Star and Bars, the symbol of the Confederated Government, which is viewed by many as a throughly racist organization), but rather the more famous Southern Cross, the Battle Flag of the Confederacy, the symbol of her army and the men and women who served under it. (Yes, women, the Confederacy had several women who masqueraded as men to serve in the army, just like the north.)

The vast majority of the Young Men who marched under the flag during the war did so as a symbol of their opposition to the Power Hungry Federal Government, which was slowly but surely sapping the rights of the states and consolidating it under one place. This was something that the Founding Fathers always feared, and the South Rightly objected to it. Many in the North did as well, though they disagreed with how the Confederacy made their opinion known.

As the Confederacy marched to war under that blue cross, many have confused it with the national flag of the confederacy, a symbol of a government that was run by Racists and was more interested in maintaining Racial Supremacy and the Institution of Slavery.

So, if you support the rights of the states and the individual, if you think the Federal Government needs to back down and relinquish power, if you think that the Federal Government needs to stop stealing your money and stop proping up those who cannot help themselves, wave that flag proud and strong. For the Southern Cross was always a symbol of Freedom and Liberty, not Oppression and Tyranny. That is what the Stars and Bars where for.

The Time has Come

With Clinton out of the race, you are now the only one the Democrats can hope to elect. Thus, you are fair game. But Sun Tzu would scold us for continuing to ignore you. Thus, it is time to expose your idiocy to the world, and show them why naively clinging to ideals that can never work is an insane idea. Oil Fires, New Refineries, and a shift in the system

Well, Elk Point, South Dakota has the right idea. Recently, they voted to allow Hyperion, a Petroleum Company, to set up a fuel refinery in their city. The citizens of Union County voted in favor of the first new refinery in almost 35 years. It also means billions of dollars in the local economy in terms of construction and maintenance, and thousands of high-paying jobs. This is good news, as it will help to stimulate the economy and bring down rising fuel costs. Now, if we could just convince the citizens of the rest of the country to allow drilling and refining in more places, the world would change faster, and more money would flow into alternative fuel research. According to the Sioux City Journal, it would be using Tar Sands out of Alberta, refining 400,000 barrels a day. This will reduce demand for Iranian and Venezualan fuels as we shift towards more Iraqi sources.

On the bad side however, 2.4 million barrels of unleaded fuel where ignited in Kansas City last night after a set of wicked storms passed through. local price where at 3.90 a gallon at the time, leading to a loss of $9.36 million dollars. $9,360,000. That is a lot of cash lost. And that does not include the total stoppage by Magellan of all fuel flowing outwards, which meant a total cut off of fuel to the north, the shutting down of the factory, and the clean up of the area. It could have been a lot worse. Over in my house, we watched with fear, wondering whether or not two tanks nearby, each also holding a simil;ar amount of fuel would catch fire as well. Expect higher gas prices. At least it isn't as bad as the one time a squirrel got into an Oil Refinery and chewed up the wires in the control room. But it is still bad. Expect to see gas prices creep up as a result. Hopefully the news of a new refinery in South Dakota will help counteract it.

Meanwhile, news has hit Drudge that there are a group of highly organized Fuel Thieves who are going after Semi-Tankers full of Petroleum. This is gonna cause a rise in gas prices as well, and quite possibly the armed escort of fuel tankers, both on road and rails, to prevent such attacks. If you have perpetrated just such a robbery, remember, you are harming millions with these little antics of yours.

Just a warning folks, it is gonna get worse before it can get better. Petroleum Drills are only able to get around a third of the fuel out of the ground due to the nature of the drilling. this means an increased turning to the Tar Sands in Canada and the US, which are "Heavy" Crude, as opposed to the lower sulfur "Light" Crude that comes out in liquid form. As such, you will see higher refining and pump prices due to the need for extra refining to lower the sulfur content to meet current EPA Regulations on the formula of fuels.

Polar Bears and Oil prices

Alaska is going to be hurting people. With the Polar Bear on the Endagndered Species List (An Unnacceptable oversight due to the increase in population of Polar Bears since their discovery during the Early Days of American Exploration and the regular and precedented growth in population continuing at this time), all movements to expand the economy of Alaska, which is dependant on Oil Mining, are thus stopped.

No new oil drilling, no new pipelines, no new refineries.

Big Oil is NOT too Blame

That's right, I said that big Oil is not the problem here. It is the Senators and Representatives who have caused the following problems

Mandatory Reformulation of Gasoline during the Summer Driving Months: This more than anything, is a huge factor in the jump before, during, and after Memorial Day Weekend, as the Oil Companies are forced to shut down their refineries, reformulate the gasoline to match with current summer formula laws, and then start them back up. During this time, they take major losses as they try to make up for the loss through rushed production of fuel.

Ban on Refinery Construction: Since 1976, there has not been a single new Refinery built in the United States. With demand for Gasoline from the Middle East increasing (The United States refines Light Sweet Crude into Unleaded Gasoline for the Middle East due to a lack of refineries in the home countries of that oil.), Other refineries shutting down (100 since the 1980's), and problems in the currently operating ones (Rodents chewing on wires, fires, breakdowns, etc.) the price of Oil is forced up in case of losses.

Distance of Oil Refineries from Points of Distribution: Due to Environmental Laws, in the United States, Oil Refineries are often located far from Urban Zones. This means increased amounts of overhead for transportation from the ports in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait to the Ports in Texas and Lousianna, increased rail transport from the ports to the refineries, and finally, increased rail and shipping costs to get them from the Refinery to the gas station. The longer the logistics route, the more money that is spent on Logistics, and thus, the higher the price of the gasoline when it reaches you at the pump.

Lack of Intensive Drilling in the United States: Though you may see the pumps in the Mid West in the middle of a field, or the oil Derricks out in the gulf, much of the Crude Oil lies untapped. Throughout the Mid West, Pacific Northwest, Deep South, and Alaska, there are large reserves of Crude Oil that could power the United States for Decades to come. By drilling in these locations, we would be able to reduce the logistics overhead of getting the oil to the refineries, and pull the US out from the Shadow of the Organization of petroleum Exporting Countries. This would lower prices, reduce the number of American Oil tankers passing through the Straights of Malacca and near the Somali Coast (Both hotspots of Piracy, that drive up the overhead again by forcing Oil Companies to hire Private Military Contractors to help defend their ships), and help to cut off our reliance on Foreign Oil, while freeing up Middle Eastern Oil for China and India, further cutting costs across the board.

Ethanol Contents: As the Lawmakers on Capitol Hill increase the amount of Ethanol mandated in Gasoline Blends that produces two things. First: Less effecient gasoline. Ethanol will always reduce the efficiency, due to it's habit of reducing mileage by a fifth. This will increase demand for Gasoline and thus further drive up prices. Second: As the demand for gasoline increases, so does the price of Ethanol, which makes the overhead rise again for the Oil Companies, which they pass on too you, the consumer.

Note that these do not include things like the Splitting of Palestine, the Lebanese Civil War, Iran's incessant Saber Rattling, past strikes against Oil Refineries and Shipping Ports, Continued Threats against the Refineries and Ports, Hurricanes, Hostile Governments using Oil Prices as a Defensive Weapon (I'm looking at you Iran and Venezuela), Disputes between Russia and the Ukraine over Oil Derricks and Supplies along the border, Earthquakes, worries of Peak Oil Production, Inefficiency of Current Mining Technologies (Leaves about a third of the Oil in the ground), Market Speculation in the Commodities Markets over Oil Futures, The failure of Canada to properly mine their Tar Sands for "Heavy Oil" Deposits, Lack of new wells in the OPEC nations, Turbulence and Civil Unrest in Venezuela, the Media's constant talking up of increasing oil prices, and much much more.

The best thing we can do is wean ourselves off of Crude Oil in all its forms, be it Natural Gas, Plastics, Gasoline, Fertilizer, Diesel, Kerosene, Jet Fuel, Asphalt, Rubber, and much else. Synthetics for these that do not require Petroleum are being researched, and proccess is coming along. Until then, keep recycling your plastics and rubbers. Because otherwise, you will only help further push up oil prices.

The Coming Recession

Start stockpiling people, the world is getting very interesting. After months of refusing to fall in with the people I thought of as Chicken Littles, I have to admit, a Recession is in fact coming, and is already present here in Kansas.

As grains like Corn and Wheat rise in price 8% a year, with Rice and Wheat up 13%, Dairy up 10%, Eggs up a record 30%, and Meat up between 4.8% and 5.4%, the signs are clear. Rationing is coming back to this country. In fact, two major retail stores, Sam's Club and Costco, have already started rationing Rice and Wheat as people go out and stock up because of perceived food shortages.

As China and India demand more food to feed their people, and fuel companies continue to divert food away from the dinner table and into our gas tanks, prices will continue to rise. While I cannot call shame upon India and China for feeding their people, I have to cry shame on another group.

Shame on TIME Magazine for their recent cover replacing the Flag with a Pine Tree in the historic Iwo Jima picture. Shame on them and all the rest of Al Gore's friends for continuing to push Ethanol though it has been shown to be less efficient, more expensive, and even carcinogenic. Shame on those who have pushed the Global Warming agenda even as the data swings away from them and toward the Helions.

If we do not stop this, we will see a further 100 million people in the developing world pushed into poverty, and Food Riots like those in Haiti, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, and the Philippines will spread further, and might even reach the United States in Worst Case scenarios.

Kansas, California, Nebraska, Florida, and Minnesota are all sliding. The Stock Market is sliding, with Berkshire Hathaway A having slid down a full 1,000 points. My friends and readers get ready. If we fall into a full blown Depression, it will be a slow slide, not the sudden collapse seen in the infamous Black Thursday.

The True Story of the Economy

Okay folks, time to get some facts straight. First of all, 40% of this
nation made money off of the Income Tax. That's right, the bototm 40% of
this nation got more out of the Income tax than they paid into it. and
the bottom 50% paid in a grand total of 3%. If they where to stop paying,
then the governmetn would notice almost nothing. This is for one
important reason. The top 1% pays 40% of the taxes, and the top 10% pay
70% of the taxes.

That's right, the top 10% pay 70% of their taxes. Is it any wonder that
they create tax shelters? Is it any surprise that the top 1% store their
money in those fabeled "Swiss bank Accounts?"

No. It isn't. If we keep up this "Tax the rich" theory, then we are
going to see the rich leave as their income tax reaches 80% to 90% of the
taxes paid into the government. Once they leave, then this country will
go down the shithole. We need to scale back spending, scale back taxes,
and try to motivate that lower 40% to make more money.

One of the best things I can come up with is this. Voting based on
taxation. Corporations do this, and it has worked well in the past, in
which the more money you have invested in the government, the more you say
in how to run this nation. If you pay more money into the government than
you get back, you get one vote. then, for every $25,000 you pay into this
government you get another vote up to a maximum of five votes. This way,
those who have more money invested in this government get more say in how
it is run.

Now, some will hurl epithets at me, but it actually makes sense for one
very important reason. A democracy can only last until people discover
that they can vote money out of the public treasury and into their own
pockets. By allowing those on welfare to vote, then you will continue to
see money sapped away by people who vote themselves more money.

Look at the sheer amount of waste being spent on by the government.
Archaeological studies on how ancient Americans washed their dishes, a
bridge to nowhere in Alaska, subsidizing wild blueberries. The sheer
bueracracy of the government in general wasts tens of billions.

And then, you have that Feel-Good nonsense with Minimum Wage. Numbers
from the Department of Labor shows that 90% of those on Minimum Wage
actually spend less than a year on minimum wage. When you increase the
wages of minimum wage, then all you do is cause those who are on Minimum
Wage at the time to face job loss. Last hired, first fired. On top of
that, you cause hiring slow downs, because a company now has less money to
spend on hiring people.

And, before you start hurling epithets my way, just know, that under this system, I would have no vote. On top of that, I would not benefit from these minimum wage hikes, though I would be more likely to get a job without them.

The Right To Smoke

Well, this has become a hot button topic in my world, mainly because Kansas City has banned smoking in bars and restauraunts. Now, while I can see where the health advocates are coming from on this, I must whole heartedly disagree with them on this.

There is a major reason for this. It sets a dangerous precedent. You may be asking me what I mean by this, I have a few examples. For example, in Golden, Colorado, it has recently become illegal to smoke in private residences by order of the Home Owner's Association. In Ontario, it is illegal to smoke in a car if there are children present. And in Britain, there is currently a debate over wether or not to ban smoking period without a liscence from the government.

So, what is the future of the united states in general if we ban smoking in public places? We have already banned it is public establishments, so what is next? I say, be careful people, because every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Cause and effect.

And thus, you have to be careful as to how you vote, because every action, every theory, has a logical conclusion, and that logical conclusion is usually considered extreme at the time, though with 20/20 hindsight it all makes so much sense.

Do real Men wear Pink?

its a question that has come up often lately, and one that I feel needs to be put down. It is just beating a dead horse anymore, and here is why.

Pink is a color associated with femininity in our society. Why? Because it is a bright color. Men are expected to wear dark colors or white. Though this has changed, and brighter shades of Red, Blue, Green and Grey have become acceptable, pink is still not considered acceptable, except by women it would seem.

Having scanned the web, I have noticed countless women saying they think it looks hot when men wear pink. However, none have stated anything else on the subject. Thus, I will introduce my own philosophy on the subject.

Pink is worn by men who are insecure about their sexuality, because the common saying that only real men wear pink has become accepted. However, real men are secure enough in their sexuality that they don't have to wear Pink to prove it too the world. By wearing Pink to show that you are a real man, you are saying, "I am insecure about myself and need to make others think that I am."

The real man knows who he is, and does not need to prove it too the world by wearing pink.

Is McCain Eligible?

Well, ain't this a sticky wicket?

It would seem, that Republican Presidential Candidate Senator of Arizona John McCain may not be eligible under the "Natural Born" clause of the U.S. Constitution.

Now, why is this a problem?

Simple, because John McCain was born in the Canal Zone, on a military base, in Panama. Now, personally, I feel that the children of American Citizens born overseas, with special emphasis to Diplomatic and Military Brats, should be considered Natural Born Citizens of the United States.

However, there is no precedent for this. Never have we even had to consider the possibility of people being born on US property over seas being the President. Rumors of Presidents being born over seas have been around for years.

Chester A. Arthur, a native of Vermont, was often rumored to have been born in Canada. Barry Goldwater was born in Arizona three years before it became a state, while it was still Arizona Territory.

So the question is. Does a child of American Parents born overseas count as a "Natural Born" citizen of the United States? Personally, I believe that that child does have the right to run for president. But only Time, and the U.S. Supreme Court will tell.

The Stand Alone Complex

As a big fan of Ghost in the Shell, I have been long fascinated by the concept of the Stand Alone Complex. In this, an event occurs. More often than not, it is a simple event, though some underlying conspiracy might be possible, even if it is highly improbable. Individuals see this, and act, consciously or sub-consciously as copy-cats. The best example of this in the Ghost in the Shell series is the Laughing Man incident, in which a group of people go out and commit crimes inspired b the Laughing Man, despite the lack of any actual Laughing Man. Another good example is Section 9, the main characters of Ghost in the Shell. In the anime, the entire group comes together out of the thin air seemingly for the same purpose, to stop terrorist actions and major crimes from within the nation of Japan.

Now, we are seeing a true Stand Alone Complex developing in the modern world. Anyone who knows me knows that Scientology makes me uneasy. This is because I have read the words of the likes of L. Ron Hubbard and various defectors. Now, I know that often times Defectors bring tales of horror to try and bring down their church, the best example being the "Former Arch-Lector" of Rome, a former catholic Priest who was active in Kansas City during the Gilded Age as a member of the American Protective Association.

However, Scientology is a very dangerous, greedy organization in which ascendancy is based not on merit, but rather on how much money one has paid into the church. This is well documented from dumpster divings by members of the Blogosphere.

Now, a Stand Alone Complex has formed to try and combat the church. Calling themselves Anonymous, they show up wearing identical suits and masks and hats, a means of protecting their identity, and not to become a mysterious "Suicide" that has plagued the critics of Scientology. Now, there might be an actual leader, but more than likely, it is a Stand Alone Complex.

Don't look for me in the ranks at the next rally of Anonymous. For if I am there, I too shall be wearing my mask. I wear one online, and I will wear one in Real Life. That mask is my Shield, that mask is my Sword.

Hey Hey, Ho Ho, Gun Bans have got to GO!

Dear God people, how long must these go on before people will open up their eyes and realize that Gun Bans on campus are not making us any safer.

Today, an Illinois University, Northern Illinois University, was shot up. 5 dead, 16 wounded. It was the fifth school shooting this week alone.

This 10 months after a rampage at Virginia Tech that resulted in the largest school shooting in history.

With the exception of this latest incident, a group of armed students could have fought back and defended themselves in this situation. Why? Because if they are armed they can fight back.

Thus, I am going to begin an official petition, starting in the state of Kansas and hopefully expanding outward, to allow students with Concealed Carry permits to carry their firearms on campus, for defense and hopefully prevention.

An elementary school in Georgia had it right, when they trained their students how to take out gunmen with ordinary objects that can be found on their desks.

Huckabee

The rumors of my early demise are not true my friends. I have just been very busy. And now, back to work.

Recently, my man Huckabee has been attacked for a comment made several years ago, during the worst fears during the AIDS Epidemic's early years.

Well, sorry to say that I am not going to attack him. Instead, I am going to defend him.

Sorry guys, but I fear Chuck Norris and support Huckabee.

Anyways, lets look at the way epidemics have been treated since day one. One word, Quarantine. Though we have not always understood the reason for it, we have always understood that some type of contact is necessary to spread it. STD's are unique, in that they require a very specific type of contact to transmit. However, this was not always widely known. Up until late in the 90's, no one was entirely sure how it was transmitted., and so many theories existed.

During this time, Mike Huckabee advocated physical isolation from healthy people. Given the lack of knowledge at the time, I have trouble blaming him for this comment.

Now, the thing is, that I do still agree with it. This will cause some flak, so please hear me out. The reason I do, is because AIDS is a devastating disease that cannot be completely blocked. Sorry Trojan, but you are only 67% effective against AIDS.

So, should we quarantine those who carry this plague? Yes, after all, it is a public health issue, not a civil rights issue. The thing is that while it was primarily a Gay disease at first, due to the contamination of the blood supply, it is a scare for everybody, and we need to understand this.

Thanksgiving: The true story of a Political Holiday

The Indians of Plymouth are annoyed with us for celebrating the holiday of Thanksgiving to God for the harvest. Why? It make no sense in my book.

Despite what many would have you to believe, Thanksgiving is not some holiday in which the White Man celebrates the Oppression of the Red Man. Instead, Thanksgiving is a celebration of the harvest. A day in which the people come together and thank the lord for the food, planted that spring, and gathered for the winter.

The history of this holiday, and the colonization is what this post is about though, not what the Holiday means.

First, lets have a history of the Americas, or rather, of the East Coast of the US.

Before the colonization of the Americas by the European Powers, the East Coast was what I like to describe as "Organized Anarchy." Here, tribes warred against each other yearly, fighting over the hunting grounds and female members of the other tribes. Sexual Slavery was rampant, as was warfare. The concept of the Noble Savage is not a very real one, as the only group that could even come close to the concept of Nobility where the Five Civilized Tribes of the Southeast, and this was due more to the influence of Spanish controlled Central America than anything else. Another similar concept is the Iroquois, who evolved culturally along the same lines as the Vikings, due to the early contacts with the Norse Traders.

Now, as the French and Spanish began to trade with the natives, conflicts would occur. Though some would adapt to the more Technologically advanced Europeans, others would strike out at them, after they had gotten what they wanted for free. The best example of this comes from the people of the Indian we now know as Squanto.

In 1614, he had been captured and taken to Spain, before finding his way to England. There, he was eventually able to board a ship and go home. However, he found that his entire tribe was dead. The PC/Conventional version has them falling dead due to an epidemic given to them by French Traders, all of whom made their way back to Europe.

WRONG!

Those French traders where massacred, like many before them, and a single one survived. Remember the above reference to Sexual Slavery? Well, how do you think that virus got around? Squanto was lucky my friends, other wise he would have caught the same virus.

When the first Thanksgiving festival was held, it was a Three Day Party. The men of the two groups went out hunting and fishing, and chatted about how to best do so. The women compared home keeping and child rearing. And every one was joyful, as harvest festivals where parts of both Wampanoag and English traditions.

Later, as the two groups began to have friction with each other, and both did have real complaints against the other, remember the above.

Now, those who are being "Oppressed!" use the history of this great nation as a cry of shame, though the history is far from what they claim.

The only place where the Noble Savage existed was i parts of Utah and the North-Western Midwest, as there where not enough Indians/sq foot for them to need to go to war against each other for hunting and farming lands. Now women on the other hand...

On Poverty

Recently, the rising numbers of veterans who are stuck living out in the street has gained national headlines. These heroes come home to find that they have no home, and thus no way to get a job, which is necessary to get a home.

Thus, I propose the following suggestion.

Worker's Homes.
Companies should provide homes or apartments to be available for their workers to live in. These would not have to be too fancy, but a bare minimum should be enforced. The rent for these homes would be taken out of the employee's paychecks.

This would create a further set of competition in the job market, as companies try to provide the nicest rentable apartments for the lowest prices. These companies would allow their people to live near the company's buildings, with the possibility of Mass Transit between the apartment complexes and the building.

Now, while problems similar to those faced by the Coal Companies are possible, they are unlikely, as the employees would have more options in terms of housing and food living in a big city.

District of Columbia v. Heller

Boy howdy, there is one doozy of a supreme court case coming down the pipe, and no one on either side of the issue is sure as to how the Justices will rule, after all, the issue hasn't been up to the court for almost 70 years.

If this ruling goes the way I fear it does, our first amendment rights, no to mention our rights to property, and security within our household are gone. If this case goes the way I fear it does, then the United States of America will turn into England, and I will be forced to secret away my "Self-Defense Mechanisms" or go for something a little more antiquated.

What the hell am I talking about?

Well, glad you asked, because the Supreme Court is hearing a case to determine whether or not we have a constitutional right to own and use firearms.

If they rule the way I fear they will, I will just have to resort to walking around with a bow and arrow when I turn 21, and not the Colt .45 Revolver I was planning on buying. Of course, I will probably have to get a different permit for that...

For those wondering why I fear a loss of Gun Ownership Rights, let me refer you to a post I made on Facebook a while ago.

In it, I talked about the situation England is currently facing. Following their banning of Legal Firearm usage, violent crimes skyrocketed.

Please, take this into consideration. After all, as crimes increase, disarming the populace is one of the stupidest things you can do. After all, it just makes them into victims.

How does THIS make sense!?

Okay, in a country where you cannot even get an asprin from the school nurse without a parent's permission, how in the world does it make sense for a school to hand out The Pill, and not only not tell the parents, but not tell the state?

Okay, a little primer on current federal laws on sex. If a child comes in for the pill, it must be reported. Why? Because if a child is on the pill, they are more than likely having sex. And all persons under the age of 18 who have sex must be reported. Second, like I said above, it is against the law for a student to receive an aspirin without parental consent, so thus, this should be illegal.

So, here is what I think. If you want to authorize your child to start having sex in middle school, and thus scar them emotionally later on as they give away more and more of themselves, then fine. But if you have your child's best interest at heart, and want to keep them from emotional trouble later on, then prevent this permission from being given out, and protect your child.

Before I begin, no, I will not be talking about the latest revelation from J.K. Rowling. This is about Censorship.

Apparently, a Catholic School in Massachusetts has decided that to protect the "Weak-Minded," the principal is going to remove the books from the school library.

Well, I would not be shocked by this. "Banned in Boston" is a common selling point on books, and now, it can be added to the Harry Potter series as well.

Now, while I applaud the Rev. Ron Barker for trying to keep witchcraft out of the hands of the children, most of those reading these books are sixth graders, and are old enough to know that it is not real. If he would really like to make a difference, make An Exorcist Tells His Story and An Exorcist: More Stories part of the required reading list. Both are by Fr. Gabrielle Amorth, and are well written.

Please, do not ban the books, there are better ways to protect the children.

Oklahoma City vs. New York City

There have been two terrorist events that have been seared into the minds of the populous of our nation, the events that took place at the Federal Building in Oklahoma City and the events that caused the collapse of the World Trade Center. But which one would cause the larger ripple in the modern world?

In my opinion, I would have to say that a second Oklahoma City would cause the most psychological damage. This might not make sense, after all, OKC had a smaller death rate, and did not cause a total collapse of the building. On the other hand, 9/11 resulted in thousands of death, the collapse of several buildings, and changed the mind-scape of the country.

So why did I say that a second OKC would cause more damage? Because we are talking about a small attack deep in the heartland of the US of A.

Think about it like this, in the United States, those who live on the coast know that they are vulnerable to an attack, maybe not on the conscious level, but they do still know. However, most of the people who live in the Midwest have a feeling of safety. Why? Because they are in the center of our country, and they do not get the same feeling of insecurity.

So what else is there to target? Many things. For one is the Sears Building, one of the tallest buildings in the world, and a center for economic activity in this nation. Secondly, there is the Chicago Board of Trade. For those of you who do not read the business page of the paper every day, the Chicago Board of Trade is the center of commodities trading in our country. Should it be targeted, the price of food would skyrocket.

So, if any government employees happen to be reading this, please look into the protection of the Board of Trade, after all, Hamas and Islamic Jihad both have cells in Chicago that are STILL on the loose.

What the president proposed, that we require 95% of the Poor class to be insured before we even think about luring the currently insured away from the system that is serving us well.

McCaskill, you spoke of uninsured families having to take their kids to the Emergency Room, though this will not change with the expansion that you proposed. Why? Easy, because all you are going to see will be those currently benefiting from private insurance moving over to the government for their healthcare coverage, and we will see Hospitals turning into the freaking DMV for those of us who actually have the means to pay for ourselves.

Why is it, that you are trying to carry on this so-called War on the Individual. For some reason, the Democratic Leadership has decided to classify Individualism among Racism and Intolerance.
For a reason I have yet to fathom, the Democrats have decided to toe the Facist line, and remove the Individual in favor of the Many.

Just what is she in trouble for this time? It would seem that she has been spying on her rivals to the throne since 1992.

In the recent book, Her Way, two Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalists for the New York Times, Don Van Natta Jr. and Jeff Gerth where quoted as saying the following.

“Hillary’s defense activities ranged from the inspirational to the microscopic to the down and dirty. She received memos about the status of various press inquiries; she vetted senior campaign aides; and she listened to a secretly recorded audiotape of a phone conversation of Clinton critics plotting their next attack.

“The tape contained discussions of another woman who might surface with allegations about an affair with Bill,” Gerth and Van Natta wrote in reference to Clinton’s husband, former President Bill Clinton. “Bill’s supporters monitored frequencies used by cell phones, and the tape was made during one of those monitoring sessions.”

However, it gets better and better.

Gerth told The Hill that he learned of the incident in 2006 when he interviewed a former campaign aide present at the tape playing. He has not revealed the aide’s identity. Clinton’s campaign has not disputed any facts reported in the final version of his book, which became public this spring, he said.

“It hasn’t been challenged,” said Gerth. “There hasn’t been one fact in the book that’s been challenged.”

And, as if you didn't already know this, the reporting paper says that it was illegal to intercept cell phones in 1992. That is going to get filed in the "Duh" category.

Oh, the hits keep coming and it just keeps getting better and better.

Clinton’s chief political strategist, Mark Penn, became embroiled recently in a controversy over intercepted electronic communications. Mitchell Markel, a former vice president at Penn’s firm, Penn, Schoen & Berland, filed a lawsuit against Penn accusing him of intercepting e-mail. Markel claimed that the firm illegally monitored messages sent from his BlackBerry after he joined another company.

Bias in the Media

Who do you consider the least biased in this country. CNN, CNBC, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, L.A. Times, MSNBC? Well, if you consider MSNBC the most moderate, than you my friend, are probably a Prior and a Cool-Aid drinker, and I have to ask, "Why are you reading my blog in the first place?"

Now, the University of California in Los Angeles posted a story about Media Bias, and found that out of 20 outlets, 18 of them where Left of Center. Only the "Special Report with Brit Hume" and The Washington Times were right of center. In fact, in order of Most Biased on the Left from the most to fourth was the Wall Street Journal News Page, CBS Evening News, New York Times, and the L.A. Times.

Very interesting.

The most centrist was the "NewsHour with Jim Leher," target of the popular Half-Hour News Hour, followed by "NewsNight With Aaron Brown," and "Good Morning America."

The Fourth most centrist was "Special Report with Brit Hume." Interesting, very interesting....

Who's the REAL Racist here?

Well, my friends, once again the National Council of The Race has expressed outrage at what they view as unfair treatment by a minority of the population.

No, this is not some White Supremacist Organisation, though some Neos have joined the counter organization for their own reasons, it is a major Hispanic "Rights" organization, that is better known as La Raza, the organization that removed its application to hold their application in Kansas City in 2009. And, as a former citizen of the KC Metro Area, I have to say Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish.

Yes, thats right, I am supporting the Mayor for his refusal to remove Ms. Semler from her position on the Parks board. And the same to the now warped organization that was once known as the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, or as it is better known now, the National Association for the Advancement of Liberal Colored People and the Slander of Conservative ones, which has also removed its application to hold a national convention here.

Now, why are they so mad at Ms. Semler, the head of the Parks Board?

Because she is an opponent of Illegal Immigration.

That is right, because she supports, actively in fact, the enforcement of the Federal immigration Laws, these groups have refused to come to KC, calling her a racist and a bigot.

So, what am I missing? When did Immigration become a matter of race?

Probably about the time that the major Illegal Immigration Group decided to name itself "The Race."

If you ask a Minute Man, the member of the organization to which Ms. Semler is a member, why they are there, most will respond with something along the lines of, "I believe in the need to enforce our own borders," or "We need to know who is coming in, because the person to fear is the guy with one Nuke, not a hundred."

In fact, so far, there have been no cases that have gotten into court against the Minute Men. In fact, the only law breakers on the border are the Illegals and the guys who observe the Minute Men to keep them in line.

When they see a person climbing the fence, they will hold them there under Citizen's Arrest, and alert Immigration and Customs Enforcement to take over.

While some have been known members of White Supremacist groups, or have formed splinter groups after being kicked out of the Minute Men. Yes, that is right, White Supremacists are being kicked out of the Minute Men.

Why?

Because the Minute Men are a group interested in the enforcement of the law, not in keeping out everybody but white guys. Contrary to what people such as La Raza and our very own Ms. Sanchez would have you believe, it is not just Hispanics that cross the border, but people from all over, such as Russians, Germans, Indonesians, Chinese, Africans, and people from Jolly Old England.

The issue is not one of race, no matter how much people such as Ms. Sanchez or the most well known racist in our own city, Mr. Duiguid of the Kansas City Star's Editorial Board, would have us believe.

Meet the New Boss?

Well my friends, it seems like we might have a new Attorney General. The new top-pick, expected to be announced sometime by the end of the day, is a New York judge by the name of Michael Mukasey, and, though nominated by Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), I have no problems with this guy so far.

The Honorable Judge Mukasey was the judge who oversaw the case of Abdullah al-Muhajir, better known to the public as Jose Padilla, and was responsible for upholding the ruling that Jose Padilla was an Unlawful Enemy Combatant, and is well known in New York for his role as the presider during the case of the "Blind Sheik" Omar Abdel-Rahman and the 11 men who attempted to bring down the World Trade Center back in 1993.

In 2003, he was also the judge responsible for a preliminary injunction against the Motion Picture Association of America, due to its enforcement of a ban on the distribution of earlier screening versions of films during the awards season, which he rightly declared was a violation of the freedom to conduct interstate commerce, and a hit on Independent Film Maker's rights of Free speech. So far, I have no problems with the guy, and see him as the traditional small government law-and-order conservative.

Now, it is time to see what time will bring up from the fog of history.

The FairTax

Forget your problems with the PATRIOT ACT you Liberals, there is another Unconstitutional organization that needs to be striken. That is the IRS.

That is right, the IRS. All they have to do is arbitrarily decide that you are withholding taxes, and you can kiss you constitutional rights good bye. Once the IRS decides, decides, that you have broken the law, whether there is any evidence at all, they dive in and you have no more secrets.

There are no warrants, just the investigation. And if you refuse to let them look through it without a warrant? Welcome to prison my friend. Tax Evasion is a common charge against gangsters in which they cannot prove anything else. They got Al Capone on Tax Evasion after putting him away for Obstruction of Justice.

There is a better way, a more constitutional way. That is the FiarTax.

For those who don't know, the FiarTax is designed to replace all of the Income Taxes with a single Sales Tax. Not only that, but all families will get what is known as a Prebate, based on the Poverty Rate, which gives each family money at the beginning of the month for the month's neccessities.

The biggest benefit of the FairTax is that it is revenue neutral. It doesn't matter if you get you money via the "White Market," "Grey Market," or "Black Market."

Yes, thats right, this is going to tax illegal activities. If someone sells contraband for a living, then when they go to the store, they will be taxed.

Also, Tax Evasion, and the sheer amount of cash and man-hours spent on Tax Compliance disappears. That is right, the drain of Tax Evasion Investigations are gone. No longer would the government have to spend millions on investigations and audits.

Also, all of the money being spent with tax compliance go to you. Thats right, you no longer have to lose money because of time spent on complying with the current taxation regulations. And, even better, the taxes currently being sent to the government before you even get your paycheck goes to you right away.

And, even better, this reduces the amount of taxes you have to pay, while increasing revenue. That's right, less taxes and more revenue. Why? Because there is a certain area where a decrease in taxes increases revenue by boosting the economy. In fact, the FairTax would generate $2.586 trillion, $358 billion more than what the government is generating under the Income Tax.

La Raza

La Raza

The name sends shivers through my body. The very name of it, meaning The Race in Spanish, conjures to mind the white power group of the Klu Klux Klan, or the black supremacist Black Panthers. Know, a new organization has taken over, this one is the organization of La Raza, which takes to the streets proclaiming "Chicano Power" and "Brown is Beautiful."

Now, while I have no disagreement with that last comment, can you imagine what the reaction would be if I were to walk down the streets wearing a sign that said "White is Beautiful?"

If I could survive long enough, I would probably be run in on a Hate Crime.

Why? Because I am white?

That is one of the largest pieces of go-se I have ever read.

The organization of La Raza should be barred from the Kansas City area, and the loss of their convention should be celebrated. Thank you, Mayor Funkhouser, for preventing this racist organization from setting up roots in our great City. And if the corrupt and Racist NAACP decides to leave, good riddance to them as well.
